Toprak Razgatlioglu stepping up to the factory Yamaha team for the 2027 season may not save Jack Miller after all, as Senna Agius looks set to join Izan Guevara at Pramac.
Yamaha are one of the most active constructors in the MotoGP rider market this year, as the Japanese outfit currently only have Razgatlioglu under contract for 2027. Fabio Quartararo is also widely expected to leave for Honda next season, once his contract with Yamaha expires.
It is an open secret that Quartararo has agreed to join Honda in 2027, to which Yamaha have agreed to sign Jorge Martin ahead of his Aprilia contract expiring. It is also now believed that Yamaha will move Razgatlioglu to their factory team to replace Alex Rins when his deal ends.
But while it has been suggested that Razgatlioglu joining Yamaha in 2027 will see Miller stay at Pramac, contrasting claims have emerged that suggest the Australian will find himself out of favour. Miller’s experience with a V4 engine was thought to be helping secure a new deal.

Miller is believed to need Yamaha to promote Razgatlioglu to their factory team next year to secure a seat at Pramac for the 2027 MotoGP season, as the Iwata crew are also understood to have offered Guevara his graduation into the premier class from the Pramac Moto2 team.

But now, on top of the reports that Guevara is destined to join the Pramac MotoGP team for 2027, a report by MOW claims Agius will join his current Moto2 rival at the satellite Yamaha squad. Yamaha are believed to have settled on Pramac having a full rookie line-up next year.
The 2027 MotoGP regulations may make next year the ideal chance to introduce a rookie to the premier class. MotoGP is set to reduce engine capacity from 1,000cc to 850cc, ban ride-height devices and introduce further restrictions on aerodynamics from the 2027 campaign.
Agius even has a potential extra arrow in his quiver as an Australian if Yamaha indeed decide to replace the 20-year-old’s compatriot, Miller. MotoGP will not want to head to Adelaide in 2027, when the Australian Grand Prix leaves Phillip Island, without an Australian on the grid.
Miller is currently contesting his 12th MotoGP season, but he has been fighting for his place on the grid long-term for the past few years. Yamaha initially gave the 31-year-old a reprieve with his contract for the 2025 season, before awarding him another one-year deal for 2026.
Should Yamaha now decide to place Agius at Pramac, Miller would be a favourite for a 2027 Ducati World Superbike ride. Agius scored his third Moto2 career victory last time out in the United States, in what was also his first point-scoring finish of the intermediate class season.
Agius now ranks sixth in the 2026 Moto2 standings after three rounds, while Guevara sits in second behind Manuel Gonzalez by 3.5 points. Gonzalez leads the way on 39.5 points, after taking one win, a P3 finish and a P5, while Guevara has had a P2, a P6 and a P3 this season.
