Ducati could revive their interest in signing Jack Miller for their World Superbikes team if he doesn’t pen a new contract at Pramac, according to MotoGP pit reporter Jack Appleyard.
Like most of the grid, Miller’s deal is up at the end of the 2026 season. However, it’s believed that several of the most in-demand riders have already secured their 2027 seats.
Just like last year, Miller could be one of the last riders who learns his fate. His preference may be to stay at Pramac, but WSBK could be his fallback option.

Appleyard was asked about Miller’s future on the Motorsport Republica podcast. He says the Australian already received a ‘strong offer’ from the WSBK paddock before signing his Pramac extension in 2025.
It was reported last year that Luigi Dall’Igna is keen on Miller if he becomes available. He previously rode for the Ducati factory team in 2021 and 2022, helping them win consecutive teams’ titles.
While Spanish journalist Mela Chercoles thinks Miller is ‘guaranteed’ to stay at Pramac, Appleyard is led to believe that Yamaha-linked Moto2 youngster Izan Guevara is moving up.

“Jack Miller’s got a huge chance [of racing for Ducati’s WSBK team],” said Appleyard. “Before he signed this latest Yamaha deal, he had a pretty strong offer on the table from World Superbikes, but he wanted to stay in MotoGP.
“Jack, if he isn’t able to keep his seat, will definitely be on a World Superbike in 2027.
“Jack is fighting for that final Pramac seat at the moment. Probably the favourite [tag is] going the way of Izan Guevara, but you never know, Jack might be able to battle back.”

A vacancy in the Ducati WSBK team is most likely to arise if runaway championship leader Nicolo Bulega lands a MotoGP spot.
Gresini are eyeing Dani Holgado and Enea Bastianini, but VR46, the other Ducati satellite squad, could have a vacancy for Bulega next to Fermin Aldeguer. That would mean dropping the in-form Fabio Di Giannantonio, however.
Toprak Razgatlioglu is likely to stay at Pramac for another year, and it sounds like Guevara could be his teammate. However, if Razgatlioglu moves up to the factory squad to partner new signing Jorge Martin (Fabio Quartararo is headed to Honda and Alex Rins is unlikely to be extended), the pressure on Miller will be reduced.
With so many moving parts, Miller could be waiting months for a resolution. He knows that he is once again riding for his future in the class.
