Ducati had a lot to celebrate at the Italian Grand Prix after Marc Marquez’s fantastic double victory at Mugello.

The Spaniard leads the MotoGP riders’ championship by 40 points and is in the form of his life at the age of 32.

Marquez’s heroic comeback from a horrific shunt at the 2020 season-opener is something truly remarkable and will never be repeated.

Despite his limitations in right-hand corners, both he and Ducati have found a way to extract more potential from their bike than anyone else on the grid can.

Davide Tardozzi was ‘immediately amazed’ by Marquez and the level of simplicity he has brought since his arrival from Gresini over the winter.

Marquez has emulated Valentino Rossi with one tactic and has mastered the art of appearing nice to everyone in the paddock, but still having a killer edge on track.

Davide Tardozzi needs to speak to Ducati mechanics after concerning Marc Marquez footage

MotoGP fans gave Ducati a ’10/10′ for a special change as they introduced a new livery for their home race at the Italian Grand Prix.

Their riders battled in the early stages of the race, putting on an excellent show for the fans before Bagnaia’s Michelin tyres dropped off and he fell to fourth place.

Bagnaia showed ‘remarkable’ sportsmanship to Marquez and shook his hand in Mugello, despite continued struggles on the GP25 bike.

After the race, Marquez was able to celebrate with his jubilant mechanics. However, it nearly took a sour turn when they got a bit overexcited.

In a video captured on their YouTube channel, Marquez was thrown into the air a few times before being dropped from some height.

It could have caused physical damage and was an unnecessary action. It may prompt a reminder from team boss Tardozzi to be a little more sensible in future.

Is the 2025 MotoGP title race a sealed deal already?

After nine races, Marquez is in the unusual position of being 110 points ahead of his teammate in the standings, and we’re not even halfway through the season.

He seems to be training harder than ever, working harder than ever and riding faster than he ever has with the Italian manufacturer.

Brother Alex Marquez is ‘essential’ to Marc’s training, and it may be no coincidence that they are first and second in the standings by some way.

It seems inevitable now that a Marquez one-two will be how the championship finishes, and what order that will be in should be decided fairly soon.
