Marc Marquez’s Czech Grand Prix win allowed him to take one step further to close the gap to Marco Bezzecchi in the championship race.
Marquez admitted Ai Ogura pushed him towards the end, but he was able to fend off the Japanese rider to secure a huge win.

Marquez is struggling with his injuries, but is continuing to soldier forward and is earning important wins in the championship race.
However, it appears Marc Marquez’s injury may have helped him win the race, as it caused him to crash during practice, which showed him where his limitations are.

Marc Marquez says his practice crash allowed him to manage ‘limitations’ in Czech GP win
Speaking to DAZN Spain, Marc Marquez admitted that he found some struggles over the weekend at Brno, and it actually became clear to him during practice where his weaknesses lie.
Marquez admitted that he was trying to rush back into his natural riding style too early, and his crash on Friday showed him where he needs to pull back and manage his races.
“The limitations are there, and we’ll see how we can overcome them, but the important thing is that I’m gradually enjoying myself.
“On Friday, I got closer to my own style, pushing the limits. I crashed twice, but that also allowed me to manage it better during the races.”
Marquez clearly knows he isn’t at 100%, but now realises what his limitations are until he can make a full recovery later in the season.

Marc Marquez admits he needs to rely on his experience going forward
Speaking further to DAZN Spain, Marquez admitted that he is trying to adapt to his current physical condition and knows he needs to rely on his experience and mentality going forward.
“We’ll try to gradually get back to normal weekends, because what I’m doing now on Fridays, going out for laps, is really difficult.
“But I have to be more focused than ever, rely more on my mind than my body, and hopefully in the second half of the season I can be back on par.”
Marquez’s body language didn’t look good at Brno before his win, so for him to be able to adapt and turn things around in such an impressive fashion served as a reminder of why he is one of the greatest of all time.
