Jack Miller’s MotoGP career looks to be nearing its end, with his contract expiring in 2026, and his manner is one of someone who knows he is out of a seat.
The Pramac rider is fighting to keep his seat in 2026, with teammate Toprak Razgatlioglu already tied down for 2027. At the moment, Miller’s situation is looking pretty bleak.
Miller has ‘no offers’ for 2027, making it highly likely that he will be leaving MotoGP at the end of the season. Judging by his mood in the paddock, it looks like his career might be over.

Jack Miller and Alex Rins are not even trying to sell themselves for a 2027 seat
According to journalist Valentin Khorounzhiy, Miller and Alex Rins have an ‘aura of defeatism’ in the paddock. They are not trying to sell themselves to other teams, with Rins already confirmed to be leaving Yamaha in 2027.
He said on The Race MotoGP Podcast: “It is matter of public record now that Alex Rins will not continue in his current seat next year. It is very likely that Jack Miller is done at Pramac there.

“They are not being mentioned in conjunction with any MotoGP seats and it sounds like, from the way Rins spoke today, I don’t think he particularly wants to race anywhere else.
“He did not give off that impression, so there’s a non-zero chance that this is kind of it. But they’re like… this aura of defeatism. They’re not even really massively trying to sell themselves to prospective employers or the media.
They’re just fighting every weekend, 15th, 16th, 14th, the TV never shows it. I asked Alex, ‘So it’s like, nobody cares? Is that basically it? Do you have the feeling that nobody from the outside cares as to how you guys perform relative to one another? And he said, ‘Might be like that.”
Does Jack Miller still have the talent to fight further up the grid?
Yamaha rely heavily on Miller and his experience. His technical feedback has been invaluable for the manufacturer, particularly with the development of the V4 engine.
However, his results have been lacking, having scored just three points thus far, one less than his rookie teammate, Razgatlioglu.
Izan Guevara is gunning for the Pramac seat in 2027, with the Moto2 rider having a ‘MotoGP clause’ in his contract. If Miller cannot make a dramatic improvement, the Spaniard is likely to replace him.
