It appears Izan Guevara has a unique clause with Pramac that could force their hand to replace Jack Miller.
Guevara is believed to have a clause in his contract with Blu Cru, Pramac’s Moto2 team, that would allow him to move up to MotoGP should he get the right result this weekend.
This could mean bad news for Jack Miller, whose future with Pramac has been considered under threat over the last few months.
Does Jack Miller still have the talent to fight further up the grid?
Guevara’s performance at the French Grand Prix may have ended Miller’s future with Pramac. However, he has the chance to land the final blow this weekend in Barcelona.
Should Guevara get the right result, Pramac could tell Miller he is no longer needed, as they look to head in a more youthful direction going forward.

Izan Guevara could earn MotoGP promotion if he finishes Catalan GP weekend top of the standings
In a recent livestream, Giovanni Zamagni revealed that Izan Guevara has a unique clause in his Pramac contract that has massive implications for this season.
Should Guevara end the weekend atop the Moto2 championship standings, he has the option to move up to MotoGP in 2027.
“One thing on Izan Guevara. Apparently, there’s a clause in his contract that if, after the Catalan Grand Prix, he’s the first rider in the overall standings with Blu Cru Pramac, he has the right to go straight to MotoGP in 2027.”
Heading into the weekend, Guevara is nine-and-a-half points behind the current championship leader, Manuel Gonzales.
Realistically, Guevara would need to outscore Gonzales by 10 points or more across all the events during the Catalan Grand Prix weekend.

Will Jack Miller still be a MotoGP rider in 2027?
Jack Miller’s Pramac future is not in his own hands
If the reporting from Zamagni is accurate, then Miller doesn’t have much control over his future with Pramac this season.
Guevara securing the points needed to take the championship lead would activate this clause, thus leaving Miller with no option.
Miller could jump to Superbike if no team in MotoGP offers him a seat for 2027. Or he might find a future with Yamaha away from the grid.
For the second year in a row, Yamaha have enlisted Miller for the Suzuka Eight Hours. There was some speculation that his performance at the endurance race played a part in his still being with Pramac heading into 2026.
Perhaps a win with Yamaha at Suzuka could convince them to keep Miller on, whether that be with Pramac or another team, in a different capacity.
