Jack Miller is facing huge uncertainty over his future in MotoGP. He could well find himself on the sidelines with Alex Rins in 2027.
The Aussie is out of contract with Pramac at the end of 2026, having signed a one-year deal at the end of 2025. Miller has been pivotal behind the scenes in developing the V4 engine, but his results are leaving something to be desired.

Miller puts himself in ‘trouble’ with his tyre management, with the Pramac rider currently without a point in 2026. His rookie teammate, Toprak Razgatlioglu, has beaten him in all three races thus far, scoring his first point in MotoGP in Austin.
With contracts expiring up and down the grid and with teams already scrambling to sign their riders for 2027, he is facing a race against time to secure his future. It was reported that Miller was set to stay at Pramac, but things have now dramatically changed.

Yamaha are set to make multiple changes with their rider line-up next year. On Saturday, it was reported that Ai Ogura will be joining the team in 2027 from Trackhouse, with Jorge Martin partnering with him.
Fabio Quartararo is leaving Yamaha for Honda, and Ogura’s arrival confirms that Alex Rins will be out of the team as well. As for Pramac, Razgatlioglu is set to stay in 2027, but Miller is under pressure to keep his seat.
Izan Guevara and Senna Agius are being heavily linked with Pramac for next season, with the Moto2 stars being monitored by several manufacturers in MotoGP.
According to a report from Speedweek, Miller’s chances of keeping his seat in the premier class are now ‘just as unlikely’ as Rins staying on the grid. Both are faced with leaving MotoGP at the end of the season.

Where will Jack Miller end up in 2027 if he leaves Pramac?
There are certainly benefits for keeping Miller at Pramac in 2027, as he will provide great experience and technical feedback, especially with the new 850cc bikes coming into effect.
However, if his results do not improve, Pramac already have multiple riders under consideration to bring in. Miller’s MotoGP career will likely meet its end if he loses his seat with the Tuscany-based team.

However, he does have other ventures on the table. Miller has a ‘huge chance’ of joining Ducati’s World Superbikes team, having raced with the team in MotoGP in 2021 and 2022.
The Aussie is still rated highly by the Borgo Panigale outfit from his time with them in the premier class, and a reunion with Ducati in WSBK could be on the cards.
