Ducati have just revealed their 2026 MotoGP bike, the last 1000cc variant they will release before a regulation change for next year.

The reigning champions face slightly stiffer competition this time around, but will be boosted by the return of Marc Marquez, who missed the last four events of 2025.

There’s also hope that Francesco Bagnaia returns to form, having been off the boil since missing out on the 2024 title.

Ducati still have to be considered favourites for the 2026 MotoGP championship, though, considering that they’ve had the winning bike in each of the last four campaigns.

What do you think about Ducati’s 2026 MotoGP livery?

Marquez has been ‘thinking’ about winning again, with his winter being spent attempting to recover from a collarbone injury.

MotoGP fans are loving Ducati’s livery their new shade of red. It’s certainly one of the most striking schemes on the grid.

Davide Tardozzi admits Ducati would like to debut their 2027 MotoGP bike ‘in spring’

Albert Valera says Marquez will sign a 2027 deal first, which will then allow the rest of the grid to fall into place.

The majority of riders are out of contract at the end of this season, which is going to create some chaos over the next few months.

Without a doubt, Ducati already has two of the most coveted talents on the grid, and it’s just a matter of who they want to sign for.

Looking ahead to their 2027 machines, Davide Tardozzi has just revealed when the team plans to run them for the very first time.

“We’re working on it,” he told GPOne. “We’d like to be on the track in spring, initially with Pirro.

“Nicolo will arrive later, when the bike is considered competitive, so that we have time on the track and can learn about the Pirelli tyres.”

How Francesco Bagnaia finds himself under a little pressure at pre-season testing

Bagnaia’s relationship with Marquez is ‘excellent’, but a change might be coming soon, considering that the Italian rider can’t guarantee a return to the top in 2026.

His confidence was down on the GP25, and it was a bike that he tried everything to understand. Despite having a good relationship with his teammate, he couldn’t fix his issues.

It has made this winter a crucial one for his future. Pre-season testing could determine where he ends up spending the next few seasons.

In fact, it could also determine whether he ever gets the chance to compete for a championship ever again. He never dreamed of leaving Ducati, but it might become reality.
