Toprak Razgatlioglu is set to make his MotoGP debut with Pramac Yamaha in the 2026 season following a string of successful years in World SuperBikes.
The Turkish rider has been a dominant force in the 2025 WSBK season, winning all nine races of the previous three rounds as he looks to add a third championship to his tally in the category.
Razgatlioglu will be partnered by Jack Miller at Pramac following a months-long saga, in which the Australian’s future in the premier class looked to have been in jeopardy.
In the end, it is understood that Yamaha decided to retain the services of Miller due to his prior experience on a V4-powered bike.
This became a crucial factor in talks as the Japanese constructor looks to climb up the pecking order by replacing their current engine with one that has a similar layout to that of their rivals.
Miller was one of four rider announcements to be made ahead of the Catalan Grand Prix weekend. The 2026 MotoGP rider line-up is now set as the grid looks towards the final eight rounds of the season.

Toprak Razgatlioglu is ‘pushing’ to bring his World SuperBikes crew chief with him to MotoGP
Razgatlioglu is unproven in MotoGP after spending the majority of his career up to this point in the WSBK championship, but is hoping to emulate his success in the category by bringing a key member of his BMW set-up along with him to the premier class.
Speaking to GPOne about his upcoming debut in the category, Razgatlioglu was asked if he would be bringing his BMW crew chief, Phil Marron, to lead the charge in his side of the Pramac garage on 2026.
“I don’t know yet. We’re talking with the team trying to understand how the situation will evolve, but I have no certainties about that,” the Turkish rider replied.
| Year | Team | Wins | Podiums | Poles | Points | Position |
| 2021 | Yamaha | 13 | 29 | 3 | 564 | 1st |
| 2022 | Yamaha | 14 | 29 | 4 | 529 | 2nd |
| 2023 | Yamaha | 7 | 33 | 4 | 552 | 2nd |
| 2024 | BMW | 18 | 27 | 6 | 527 | 1st |
| 2025* | BMW | 15 | 20 | 4 | 407* | 1st* |
“Obviously, I’m pushing very hard to have Phil, considering that he was already in that championship five, six years ago.
“Unlike the SBK, where the crew chief does everything, there are a lot of people working behind the scenes in MotoGP. I think Phil is the right person, since he’s been by my side for a long time.”
Marron became Razgatlioglu’s crew chief during the 2019 season whilst the 28-year-old was racing for Kawasaki. He has led his garage since, aiding the rider to a World Superbikes title with both Yamaha and BMW, respectively, with a third on the way.

Toprak Razgatlioglu knows when his first test atop the Yamaha M1 will be
Razgatlioglu was also asked about when he will have his first taste of a prototype MotoGP bike. The Turkish rider knows, but is staying very tight-lipped about it.
“I know the date, but I won’t tell you,” he told GPOne with a smile on his face. “I’ll be able to try it out before the Valencia tests, but you’d better talk to Pavesio, he’ll tell you everything.”

Due to having no prior experience with the prototypes heading into his debut season in the category, the mileage accrued on them will be vital to him starting his maiden season on the right foot.
Razgatlioglu has been warned that his riding style won’t work for him in MotoGP, so the sooner he is able to work on changes to it, the better.
Many think Razgatlioglu will win races in his debut season with Pramac, owing to his dominance in the Superbikes category. Only time will tell if he is able to emulate his prior success in Grand Prix motorcycle racing.
