Jack Miller will remain with Pramac for the 2026 season after signing a new contract, Yamaha have confirmed. It brings to an end months of speculation over his future.

Miller arrived at Paolo Campinoti’s team on a short-term deal after losing his KTM seat last year. While he hasn’t got close to Fabio Quartararo, he ranks second among Yamaha’s riders in the championship.

He’s been battling with current teammate Miguel Oliveira, as well as some of Moto2’s brightest talents, for the sole 2026 seat. They have known for months that two-time World Superbikes champion Toprak Razgatlioglu would be joining.

Oliveira was under contract for next year, but he’s failed to meet a performance clause. Partly due to injury, he’s scored the fewest points of the four riders on Yamaha’s M1.

Toprak Razgatlioglu looks forward to Jack Miller partnership at Pramac

Razgatlioglu and Miller will form one of the most exciting duos on next year’s grid. The former is one of the biggest stars in motorcycle racing, currently on course for a third WSBK title.

Razgatlioglu’s record against his teammates is imperious, but he has no experience in MotoGP. By contrast, Miller will clear 200 starts next year and has stood on the podium 22 times, including four race wins.

After MotoGP relayed the news from Yamaha on Instagram, Razgatlioglu was quick to reply. He wrote, ‘See you soon mate’, accompanied by the flags of Turkey and Australia.

Yamaha considered signing Manuel Gonzalez, who’s leading the intermediate class, but that would have meant forming an all-rookie line-up. Miller’s experience will be crucial to the development of the soon-to-debut V4 engine.

Fabio Quartararo’s reaction to Yamaha’s Jack Miller announcement

Miller’s extension is perhaps good news for Quartararo, who will himself have to decide whether to stick with Yamaha beyond next year.

Quartararo said Miller could be ‘very useful’ as the Japanese manufacturer look to hone their new engine. That remark may have had an influence on their final decision.

While El Diablo hasn’t operated on his own level this year, team sources say Miller has been pushing Quartararo and raising his standards. The Frenchman seemed to be pleased by Thursday’s news.

Quartararo commented ‘GINOOOOOOO’ under Pramac’s light-hearted post, which showed Miller wandering through the paddock looking for Borsoi.
