Jack Miller receives good news at Czech Grand Prix as mooted Pramac replacement rules out 2026 move

Jack Miller hoped he’d have clarity on his MotoGP future by now. The Pramac rider is out of contract at the end of the 2025 season.

Yamaha initially planned to make a decision before the summer break, and the Czech Grand Prix is their last opportunity. However, there’s now talk that they will wait until the races in Austria and Hungary in mid-to-late August.

There is only one more spot available at the satellite team after the signing of two-time World Superbikes champion Toprak Razgatlioglu. That means either Miller or Miguel Oliveira will have to move.

Rumours have suggested Pramac could form an all-new line-up for 2026 by hiring another new recruit. But they can now cross one name off their list.

Pramac target Enea Bastianini expects to stay at Tech3 in boost for Jack Miller

Enea Bastianini has been linked with Pramac amid his apparent dissatisfaction at Tech3. Bastianini signed a two-year deal to race for the KTM satellite, but neither side has seen their expectations met.

Ahead of this weekend’s race in Brno, Bastianini sits 17th in the championship – the lowest ranking rider in the KTM stable. Maverick Vinales, who’s out of this event through injury, leads him 9-1 in qualifying.

Bastianini is also 13-5 down in the race that both riders have finished. He’s missed out on the top 10 in 60% of his races.

But speaking to Sky Italy on Thursday, the former Ducati rider appeared to rule out an exit.

“I’ll most likely stay here, my goal is to go fast with this bike,” he said.

Is Jack Miller secretly eyeing a Yamaha promotion for 2026?

Bastianini’s stance is good news for Miller, with one of his potential rivals removed. There are still other options in the frame, though.

Yamaha are interested in Manuel Gonzalez, who impressed in a MotoGP test for Trackhouse earlier this year. Gonzalez’s Moto2 rival Diogo Moreira is also a Pramac contender.

To add the intrigue around Miller’s future, there was chatter at the German GP that Yamaha could break Alex Rins’ contract, which runs until the end of 2026, by mutual consent.

The team themselves have denied these rumours, but this could allow them to revamp the Pramac squad while still retaining their second-best performer in Miller.
