Ducati ace Marc Marquez is ‘sure’ of one outcome for Jorge Martin ahead of the Aprilia star returning from injury at the 2025 Czech Grand Prix after 95 days on the sidelines.
The premier class has not seen its reigning champion on a track since Martin crashed out on Lap 13 of April’s Qatar Grand Prix. But Aprilia finally have their rider back this weekend, with Martin cleared to make his racing return at Brno following last week’s private test at Misano.
Aprilia faced a long wait for Martin to get back on his RS-GP25 after the 27-year-old broke 11 ribs and suffered a hemopneumothorax at Lusail. The Qatar GP was also his debut with the Noale factory, as Martin even missed the first three rounds of the 2025 season due to injury.
Martin can now put the hemopneumothorax and 11 broken ribs he suffered in Qatar, as well as the fractured left hand and injuries to his right hand and left foot that he sustained in pre-season, in the past. It is also a chance to fire Martin’s failed bid to leave Aprilia into the past.

Marc Marquez is ‘sure’ Jorge Martin will have ‘good races’ on his return from injury
Ducati ace Marquez has already seen Martin ahead of the Aprilia pilot’s return from injury at this week’s Czech GP. The 32-year-old believes his Spanish compatriot is in great shape to return to action, and is thrilled for MotoGP that the reigning champion is finally ready to go.

Marquez is expecting big things for Martin over the remainder of the 2025 MotoGP season, as well. The current runaway championship leader would not even be surprised to find the Madrid native fighting for race wins, although Marquez questions Martin’s hopes for Brno.
“I’ve seen Jorge,” Marquez told AS. “We’ve been on the track together on the bike, and he’s stronger than me. He’s trained well. I hope he can make a normal return to the track. It’s good for the championship, for Aprilia and, above all, for him to be on the track.
“I’m sure – although I don’t know if this one will work – because Jorge is capable of anything that in the second half of the season, he’ll have very good races, and why not fight for wins?”
Jorge Martin returning from injury at the Czech Grand Prix could be the ideal time
Martin returning from injury at the Czech GP might be the ideal time for Aprilia to welcome him back. If he feels any physical limitations at Brno this weekend, the 27-year-old will then have the summer break to overcome them before the Austrian Grand Prix on August 15-17.
Also, his agent Albert Valera has revealed that Martin believes Aprilia’s bike is ‘much better’ now than when he rode it in Qatar following the Spaniard’s private test at Misano. It was his first time since April with the RS-GP25, which Marco Bezzecchi has led the development of.

Jorge Lorenzo thinks Aprilia’s bike is ‘fast on all circuits’ now, as well, after seeing Bezzecchi back up his British Grand Prix win. Silverstone is a track that often suits the Noale crew, yet Bezzecchi came just shy of beating Marquez to win the Dutch Grand Prix at Assen, as well.
