Davide Tardozzi wants Marc Marquez to make incredible Ducati promise that will terrify his MotoGP rivals

Marc Marquez has been a revelation for Ducati in 2025 and has undergone a career revival with the Italian manufacturer.

He’s romping to a seventh premier class title in some style, and is set to smash his record for most points scored in a MotoGP season.

But it hasn’t come without dark days. Marquez experienced plenty of them at Honda and has entirely dedicated himself to a return to the top over the last few seasons.

Now he’s reaping the rewards on a Ducati bike, which seems to suit his riding style, while being a bit of a nuisance for his rivals who ride it.

Marquez has been fighting ‘demons’ at Ducati in 2025 not to go faster at some tracks, such is the advantage he holds.

After being strong at the German Grand Prix, Marquez got on Jack Miller’s ‘nerves’ by finishing 25 seconds ahead of him on Sunday. He’s so quick that he annoys his rivals.

Davide Tardozzi hopes Marc Marquez will stay at Ducati ‘until the end’ of his MotoGP career

Despite having 69 victories and 120 podiums, the 32-year-old from Spain shows no signs of wanting to stop any time soon.

Marquez ignored a Luigi Dall’Igna warning by pushing hard at the Sachsenring, even when he didn’t need to. His determination to win is above all.

Not only will he draw level with Valentino Rossi for 500cc titles if he carries on like this in 2025, but he will also break his record for being the oldest ever champion by two years.

And his boss, Davide Tardozzi, hopes that he can carry on for even longer, especially within his current team.

“I hope Marc stays at Ducati until the end of his career,” he said. “Just because it was expected doesn’t mean it’s less important and beautiful. This podium is very important for us.

“Marc is celebrating his 200th MotoGP race, Álex is coming back from a broken hand, and Pecco, who made the podium after a difficult Saturday. We’re very happy.”

Which Valentino Rossi record might Marc Marquez struggle to break for a while?

There’s one particular record, which, thanks to Rossi’s longevity at the highest level, might be a bit difficult to beat soon for Marquez.

When it comes to the most points scored all-time, the two are first and second, but Rossi currently has a near 2000-point buffer at the top.

With 6,357, the Italian rider should hold the record over Marquez (4,408) for around three more years. With Marquez set to score 700 points this year, he’d still have to be close to dominating to do it before the end of 2028.

Perhaps the new regulations end up being a bit of a setback, but even then, Marquez always seems to find a way to win races. Sometimes, it comes at a painful cost, but it doesn’t seem to bother him.
