Trackhouse rider Raul Fernandez has seen his market value spike again after a fine weekend at the Dutch Grand Prix.
Fernandez was the slowest of the four Aprilia riders in a dominant qualifying performance for the Noale factory, but he charged through to victory in the Sprint and finished second behind teammate Ai Ogura in the Grand Prix.
Including the Sprints, he has now taken two victories and five podiums this year, which puts him 55 points behind championship leader Jorge Martin in sixth place, on the periphery of title contention.

Raul Fernandez picks Trackhouse over Tech3 for 2027
Despite that strong form, Fernandez’s future has been in doubt until recently, with Trackhouse exploring their options. They are losing Ogura to Yamaha but they have considered fielding an all-new, potentially all-Italian line-up featuring Enea Bastianini.
While they are now of a mind to keep him, the crux of the issue is that Trackhouse only offered Fernandez a one-year deal, while he naturally pushed for two.
This opened the door for Guenther Steiner, with Tech3 offering Fernandez a longer contract. Steiner wants an experienced rider to go alongside a rookie, though the Spaniard’s acrimonious exit from KTM posed a potential obstacle.
What is Raul Fernandez’s ceiling in MotoGP?
That is now academic because, according to AS, Fernandez has ‘reached an agreement’ to stay at Trackhouse on a multi-year deal. This was the preference of his camp, and the American team have acceded to his demands.
Bastianini is still set to be his teammate, though he can’t officially sign a contract until a 30 June deadline in his KTM contract passes. In a sense, it’s a double blow for Tech3.
Steiner is likely to sign Luca Marini instead, with Moto2 teammates Manuel Gonzalez and Senna Agius the main contenders for the second seat. When these decisions are finalised, next year’s grid will effectively be complete.
