Jack Miller has learned his fate at Yamaha for the 2027 MotoGP season, and his mood has subsequently dropped.

The Australian rider is out of contract with Pramac in 2026. Toprak Razgatlioglu is likely to stay with the team next year, but Miller’s future is much bleaker.

Miller knows he is ‘bottom of the pile’ at Yamaha, with Jorge Martin and Ai Ogura set to join the factory team next year. The 31-year-old is facing a MotoGP exit in 2027.

Jack Miller knows that he will be leaving Pramac Yamaha in 2027

Izan Guevara has a MotoGP ‘clause’ in his contract, making him the number one candidate for the second Pramac seat in 2027. It means Miller will be out of the team, and he may already know about it.

Journalist David Emmett noted on the Paddock Pass Podcast that Miller has found out that Yamaha do not have a seat for him next season. Subsequently, he has stopped doing ‘his corporate best’ and is miserable behind the scenes.

“Yamaha are just completely lost,” said Emmett. “There was a point at the beginning of the year where they were showing sort of signs of vague optimism. That is completely gone.

“Alex Rins looks like a man who’s completely defeated. Fabio Quartararo, when he feels he has a chance to actually show a flash of speed, will show a flash of speed.

“Now that Jack Miller knows there’s not going to be a spot for him, because he was doing his best, his corporate best, before he found out that there was not going to be a place for him next year, and now he’s also just given up.

“The bike is not very good. It’s just a data-gathering exercise. They’ve given up on 2026, they are focusing everything on 2027.”

The Aussie’s future in MotoGP is not looking good, as no teams are interested in Miller for 2027. He will have to explore other options.

Miller is linked with a WSBK seat with Ducati next year, but he is facing competition. VR46’s Franco Morbidelli, who is also set to leave MotoGP, is also in contention.
