Pramac are readying Jack Miller’s replacement for the 2027 season, leaving his ‘probable’ destination to be in the World Superbikes paddock with Ducati.
The Australian rider’s future in MotoGP looks bleak, with his contract expiring at the end of 2026. Reports have suggested that Pramac have told Miller he is ‘surplus to requirements’ for next season, with Moto2 star Izan Guevara being heavily linked with the team.
The MotoGP rider market has moved fast for 2027, and spots are rapidly filling up. With limited options on the table, Miller is ‘down in the dumps’ in the paddock, as he faces leaving the premier class at the end of 2026.

Jack Miller’s ‘probable’ destination for 2027 is with Ducati in World Superbikes
Miller is trying to land a seat at Trackhouse in 2027, with Ai Ogura joining Yamaha and Raul Fernandez’s future being uncertain. However, with other riders battling for the seat, the Aussie’s chances of staying in MotoGP look unlikely.
The 31-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to World Superbikes in 2027, and there could be seats available for him. Reports have indicated that Nicolo Bulega will join VR46 in MotoGP next year, leaving a spot vacant at Ducati.
The Aruba.it Racing star has won every race in 2026, with the Panigale V4 R being the best bike on the grid. With Bulega heading to MotoGP, teammate Iker Lecuona, who replaced Alex Marquez at Gresini in Hungary, will be the team’s lead rider next year.

Will Jack Miller still be a MotoGP rider in 2027?
Journalist Simon Patterson discussed Lecuona’s slim chances of joining the MotoGP grid next year, as he pointed towards him staying in WSBK. He also said that the Spaniard’s ‘probable’ teammate in 2027 will be Miller, suggesting that he will replace Bulega.
He said via The Race MotoGP Podcast: “The problem is, it’s like the worst possible time to be anyone trying to find a MotoGP route who’s not currently in MotoGP.
“And it was a fantastic result, but I can’t see it turning into anything for him for 2027, because I can’t see where he’d fit at this point, knowing what we know about the grid.
Some seismic moves have been made in MotoGP for 2027! What has been the most shocking rider transfer?
“And also, I have to say, if you’re him, he’s going to be World Superbike champion next year. Like, most likely, he’s going to be World Superbike champion next year.
“So why would you upset the apple cart? Just stay where we are and win titles, at least until your probable new teammate, Jack Miller, decides he’s good enough to win championships on a Ducati superbike as well, and then it becomes interesting. But right now, I can’t see where he fits or how he fits.”
Miller still has a great relationship with Ducati following his successful spell with the team in MotoGP. He would surely be a clear favourite to replace Bulega, should his move to VR46 go ahead.
