Enea Bastianini has reportedly accepted an offer from Trackhouse for the 2027 MotoGP season.

The Italian is out of contract with Tech3 at the end of 2026, and he has been looking to find a new team and bike. Since joining KTM in 2025, Bastianini has struggled to adapt to the RC16.

Things have gradually improved, with a podium finish at Catalunya in 2025 and points in every race in 2026 until this year’s Catalan GP. But Bastianini seems adamant about leaving Tech3, and Trackhouse could be his destination.

Enea Bastianini has accepted an offer from Trackhouse for 2027

Bastianini was linked with Gresini in 2027, but it has since emerged that Joan Mir is the frontrunner to join the Ducati satellite team. With Daniel Holgado also joining, and VR46 off the table, the Italian has looked towards another manufacturer.

As per a report from Moto.IT, Bastianini was asked about his future for the 2027 season, to which he replied: “I thought about it for a long time and I’ve come to a decision.”

It is believed that Bastianini has ‘decided to accept’ an offer from Trackhouse. The Aprilia satellite team are yet to confirm their riders for 2027, with Ai Ogura already set to join Yamaha.

At the moment, the American outfit do not even have a team boss, with Davide Brivio joining Honda in 2027. But with Aprilia’s RS-GP being a competitive bike in 2026, and their potential being high for the 850cc era, Trackhouse is an attractive project for Bastianini.

KTM could block Enea Bastianini from leaving Tech3

Bastianini wants to leave the KTM setup, but things could become complicated for the Italian, even though he has, allegedly, agreed to join Trackhouse.

KTM could block Bastianini from leaving, as Tech3 have a clause in his contract that could see them trigger another year-long extension for 2027.

The French team, owned by Guenther Steiner, will remain with KTM next year after months of speculation that they could link up with Honda.

With Fabio Di Giannantonio and Alex Marquez set to join the factory KTM team, Tech3 are Bastianini’s only option within their setup. The contract situation could get messy, especially if he has signed a deal with another team.
