MotoGP fans have expressed their disbelief with Toprak Razgatlioglu after the Turkish rider pulled off one of the best saves of the season so far at the Spanish Grand Prix.
While Yamaha remains the weakest constructor on the MotoGP grid, it hasn’t stopped Toprak Razgatlioglu from giving fans of the premier class something to applaud.
During FP2 at the Spanish Grand Prix, the Pramac star was seen sliding across the floor as he approached turn 13, only to somehow pick the bike back up and remain seated, much to the delight of everyone in the MotoGP pitlane.
Has Toprak Razgatlioglu just pulled off the save of the season in practice at the Spanish Grand Prix? 😳
How did he save that?!
Pramac chief Gino Borsoi was seen celebrating Razgatlioglu’s save inside the team’s garages, while it was also met with applause and cheers from those in attendance at the Circuito de Jerez.
MotoGP fans react to Toprak Razgatlioglu’s ‘insane’ save at Jerez
Fans were quick to react to the moment on social media, with the overriding sentiment being one of disbelief for Razgatlioglu’s incredible bike control.
Razgatlioglu has been a fan favourite since joining the premier class paddock at the start of the current term, with his exploits during MotoGP’s season-launch event in Malaysia also earning him some favour with fans.
His latest moment has only compounded that. One fan was left in amazement, and commented on the social media network Reddit, “This guy is not even human. He is something else. How the f— is this possible? You know what, it’s AI, I’m not going to believe it.”
Neil Hodgson would promote Toprak Razgatlioglu to Yamaha over signing Ai Ogura for the factory team – Are they making a mistake?
Another fan commented, “That save was INSANE,” while another simply couldn’t believe what they had just witnessed, writing, “Holy moly!!! Howwww? How did he save it!!”
While Razgatlioglu is yet to make a mark on the premier class with his results, one social media user pointed out the fact that he has already made a big impression with his entertainment factor.
They commented, “Toprak’s been so impressive and entertaining in just these few short rounds,” while another wrote, “Toprak doing Toprak things.”
The replay of the incident also caught the Turkish rider’s Pramac counterpart, Jack Miller, narrowly missing Razgatlioglu as he picked the bike back up.
There’s no doubt that the Australian’s reaction would have been gold, as another fan pointed out. They posted, “Love to hear what Jack Miller said in his helmet as that happened right in front.”

Toprak Razgatlioglu proved once again that he is worthy of a factory seat at Yamaha
During the qualifying session that ensued after the conclusion of FP2, Razgatlioglu impressed Yamaha yet again, despite only setting a lap that was good enough for P19 on the Sprint race and Grand Prix grid.
The three-time World Superbikes champion managed to outqualify Yamaha’s factory rider Alex Rins, as well as his Pramac teammate Miller, once again, with wildcard rider Augusto Fernandez being the lead rider in P16, one place ahead of Fabio Quartararo.
Razgatlioglu has been linked with a factory ride at Yamaha for 2027, but recent movements in the MotoGP rider market indicate that the Japanese constructor has already made up their mind on who will fill their seats for the premier class’s new era.
Jorge Martin is expected to join Yamaha’s project next year, with it recently being reported that Ai Ogura will complete their line-up in place of Rins, who revealed his fury during his Thursday afternoon media duties at Jerez.
