Fabio Di Giannantonio is demanding maximum support from Ducati in negotiations over his MotoGP future. Di Giannantonio is a rider in demand after an excellent start to the season.
The VR46 ace has scored back-to-back pole positions and two podiums (both in Brazil). After three rounds, he surprisingly leads the Ducati riders in the standings.
Di Giannantonio is in fourth place, five points ahead of reigning world champion Marquez. He has never previously finished higher than sixth in the premier class.

Fabio Di Giannantonio demands full factory support from Ducati
According to Sky Italia, Di Giannantonio is ‘open’ to staying at VR46 on the condition that he receives ‘continued factory treatment’. Every rider will start 2027 with a top-of-the-range bike due to the change in regulations.
However, only the factory-backed riders will receive upgrades as soon as they are available. As it stands, only Marquez, incoming teammate Pedro Acosta and Fermin Aldeguer are guaranteed this privilege.

Aldeguer is moving across from Gresini to VR46 and ‘Diggia’ naturally wants assurances of parity. He is currently contracted directly to Ducati, having spent his entire premier class career on Desmosedici motorcycles.
Moto2 talent Daniel Holgado will race for Gresini, and it’s unlikely he will be prioritised during his rookie season. Enea Bastianini, who was let go by Ducati at the end of 2024, could fill the other seat.
KTM lead the race to sign Fabio Di Giannantonio if he changes teams
A strong run of form has put ‘Diggia’ in the frame for as many as four rival teams. KTM are currently the ‘most insistent’ of those amid lingering doubts over the fitness of Maverick Vinales.
Di Giannantonio could also race for Tech3, whether they stay in the KTM stable or strike a deal with Honda.
Trackhouse are also interested after losing Ai Ogura to Yamaha, who were previously linked with the #49 themselves.
And finally, a move to Pramac shouldn’t be ruled out given their previous admiration, though the current plan is to promote Izan Guevara to the spot alongside Toprak Razgatlioglu.
