Is he a serious contender for the 2026 title now?
Bezzecchi secured an Aprilia 1-2 finish at the Brazilian Grand Prix, with teammate Jorge Martin finishing P2 ahead of polesitter Fabio Di Giannantonio and Marc Marquez.

Valentino Rossi sent ‘beautiful’ message to Marco Bezzecchi before Brazilian Grand Prix
Bezzecchi has Rossi ‘behind him’ in 2026. The seven-time MotoGP champion played a pivotal role in his career, bringing him up through the VR46 academy and handing him his premier class debut with his team.
Rossi may be pessimistic about Bezzecchi’s title chances, but he is still keen to support the Aprilia rider and his career. Speaking after his win in Goiania to Sky Italia, the Italian revealed what the MotoGP legend said to him before the race.
“Yes, it was brilliant – a great day, a great race,” said Bezzecchi. “I’m really happy because, given where we were on Friday, I honestly never thought we’d manage to win.
“But we made a big improvement yesterday; we worked hard last night and I felt good right from the start this morning. And Vale sent me a message – that gave me a bit of a boost too.”
Asked what Rossi wrote to him, he added: “No, he told me I was on form, he said, “Great job, Bez, go for it!” And I believed him, I felt good and it was brilliant. I’m really happy.”
