Aprilia rider Marco Bezzecchi issued an instant apology to Jack Miller after leaving the Pramac pilot off his predicted grid for the 2027 MotoGP season, featuring 13 changes.
The MotoGP rider market has already been a hive of activity this year, as Bezzecchi is one of just four pilots under contract through at least 2027. Aprilia signed the 27-year-old to a new deal through 2028 earlier in February, as he was due to be a free agent at the close of 2026.
Honda and Yamaha looked into signing Bezzecchi before he agreed to commit his future to Aprilia, who are now potentially looking for a new teammate for the Italian. Jorge Martin is one of the array of riders on expiring contracts, and Bezzecchi predicts he will join Yamaha.
Bezzecchi expects Yamaha will field an all-new line-up in 2027 featuring Martin and current Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaia. So, there will be no vacancies in Yamaha’s factory ranks for Miller or 2026 MotoGP rookie Toprak Razgatlioglu to graduate from satellite team Pramac.

Razgatlioglu agreed to join Pramac on a two-year factory Yamaha contract from 2026, as he finally switches to MotoGP after winning three World Superbike titles. Yamaha also handed Miller a new one-year factory contract to stay at Pramac for a second season in September.

Yamaha are considering promoting Razgatlioglu in the 2027 season, but Bezzecchi does not envisage the move just yet. Instead, the Aprilia racer expects Yamaha will leave the Turkish ace at Pramac, while demoting Alex Rins to replace Miller despite Fabio Quartararo leaving.
Bezzecchi told the MotoGP website: “Toprak is already on a two-year contract, no? Maybe Rins [will be his teammate at Pramac]… Sorry for Jack, but maybe three bikes in Pramac?”

It is said that Quartararo has agreed to leave Yamaha and join Honda in 2027 on a two-year contract, as he has lost patience in the Iwata outfit’s ability to turn their programme around. Quartararo, Rins and Miller are all due to be out of contract in 2026 among the Yamaha fold.

Yet Bezzecchi predicted Quartararo will join Marc Marquez at Ducati instead after he initially placed Pedro Acosta at Honda alongside Franco Morbidelli, despite the claims that Acosta is close to signing for Ducati on a two-year deal as he strives to leave KTM at the end of 2026.
Bezzecchi even sighed, “Oh dear, yeah… It’s possible… It’s possible,” while he looked over his completed grid for the 2027 MotoGP season after predicting a total of 13 transfers. He only backed LCR Honda and Trackhouse to retain their current line-ups after the 2026 campaign.
