Jack Miller faces a critical 2026 MotoGP season as he fights to stay in the sport. It is no surprise, therefore, to see that he has some ambitious targets.
The Australian rider has been retained by Pramac in 2026 as Yamaha roll out the V4 bike. Miller will be crucial for the Iwata outfit as he provides experience and strong technical feedback to improve the machine.
Is this Jack Miller’s last MotoGP bike?
Miller’s ‘goal’ is to secure a 2027 contract with Pramac. He will be under pressure to keep his spot in MotoGP, especially with new teammate Toprak Razgatlioglu giving him a huge challenge on the other side of the garage.
Miller is hoping to sign a new contract ‘soon’ as he declares he has ‘unfinished business’ in MotoGP. But while most of 2026 will be spent on development, he will need to score results, having finished 17th in 2025.

Jack Miller wants to be the ‘best Yamaha’ rider in 2026
No one came close to Fabio Quartararo at Yamaha in 2025. The Frenchman grabbed five pole positions and one podium, guiding the M1 into positions it had no right to be in.
While Quartararo is threatening to leave Yamaha at the end of 2026, he remains the benchmark within the manufacturer. Miller has made it his goal to beat him and be the best Yamaha rider on the grid.
Talking about his goals for 2026, he told GPOne: “My goal? It’s difficult to predict right now, because we don’t know exactly where we’ll end up with the bike.
Who will be Yamaha’s top rider in the 2026 MotoGP season?
“Once we get to Thailand, we’ll have a better understanding of where we are and what the situation is.
“In any case, I think the realistic goal right now, or the easiest one to achieve, is to try and be the best Yamaha. To achieve that, with the calibre of riders we have, I’ll have to be in good shape compared to the others.”

Jack Miller explains his relationship with new Pramac teammate Toprak Razgatlioglu
As aforementioned, Miller faces huge competition at Pramac in 2026 with the arrival of Razgatlioglu. The Turkish rider has immense talent, winning three World Superbike titles, and is expected to hit the ground running.
Of course, he has to adapt to a new bike and tyre, and Miller has ruled out being Razgatlioglu’s ‘mentor’ during his rookie season. But the Aussie has expressed excitement about being his teammate in 2026.
“He’s a fantastic guy, a truly exceptional person, and an even better rider,” he said. “Of course, I follow Superbike closely. I love watching motorcycle racing, so I watch Superbike every weekend I can, even when we’re at a Grand Prix.
“It’s fantastic that Toprak is now part of our championship, and it’s even better to have him on the team. Spending two days with him before the presentation and getting to know him away from the track was a great pleasure. I can’t wait to tackle this season with him!”
