Jack Miller is “looking forward” to spending the 2026 season with Toprak Razgatlioglu at Pramac, after Yamaha lured the three-time World Superbike champion to MotoGP.
Razgatlioglu had long been a distant dream for MotoGP teams, as he had previously refused to leave World Superbikes unless a factory squad awaited. But Pramac becoming the second factory Yamaha team in 2025 helped convince the 29-year-old to finally relent on his stance.
Yamaha also followed signing Razgatlioglu to a two-year factory MotoGP contract from 2026 by awarding Miller a second one-year contract to partner the Turkish racer at Pramac. Miller was originally set to be out of contract in 2025, but Yamaha instead released Miguel Oliveira.
Miller was the second-best Yamaha rider in 2025, with only Fabio Quartararo outscoring him with the works team on 201 and 79 points. The Australian will now be expected to help lead Pramac during 2026, as Razgatlioglu will face a huge learning curve as he adapts to MotoGP.
Is this the first sign of the value of moving from World Superbikes to MotoGP?
Jack Miller does not feel he needs to ‘mentor’ Toprak Razgatlioglu in 2026
Razgatlioglu needs to adapt to some of the circuits on the MotoGP calendar that he did not experience in World Superbikes. The Alanya native also has to learn the Michelin tyres after years of racing on Pirelli rubber, along with how ride height devices work on a MotoGP bike.

But Miller does not think he needs to be a “mentor” for Razgatlioglu during his new Pramac teammate’s first term in MotoGP, as the 78-time WSBK race winner is “extremely talented”. Miller also feels Razgatlioglu’s manager, Kenan Sofuoglu, will give him all the help he needs.
Miller told the MotoGP YouTube channel: “He doesn’t need a mentor, I don’t think. He’s got plenty of that in Kenan. Absolute legend of a bloke.
“We’ve had a great few days here, getting to know each other away from the track, away from people. It’s been nice to get to know him as a person. I’m really looking forward to this year. I think it will be a lot of fun.
“Pramac are known for being quite a family-oriented team, and Toprak really embraces that sort of atmosphere. So, I think he’s going to be an awesome addition to the team.
“[I’m] really looking forward to the year ahead with him, and seeing obviously first and foremost how I get on, but also watching his progression and seeing how he adapts.
“It’s going to be awesome having another really, really extremely talented and fast rider on the motorcycle, as well. So, some more data for us to study and look at.”
Toprak Razgatlioglu expects to work with Jack Miller ‘a lot’ at Pramac Yamaha
Sofuoglu has served as Razgatlioglu’s manager and mentor since 2014, and he has played an instrumental role in his Turkish compatriot’s career ever since. The 41-year-old is a five-time World Supersport champion and also had brief spells in Moto2 plus World Superbikes.

What do you make of the first 2026 livery?
Razgatlioglu expects he will also work closely with Miller “a lot” through his rookie MotoGP season at Pramac in 2026, though. The Australian can draw on his years of experience in the premier class, having debuted with LCR Honda in 2015 and he has won four of his 199 races.
“With Jack, he’s a really good teammate,” Razgatlioglu said. “He’s really funny. This is good. I understand we are working together a lot.
“And for the development side, when I did the test, everyone listened to me, and this is very important. OK, I’m not very experienced with the MotoGP bike, but I feel it, I’m directly able to explain to the team, and everyone tries to find a way. This is really good.”
Miller hopes to earn a new contract with Yamaha for 2027 through his performances aboard the YZR-M1 with Pramac in 2026, along with helping the Japanese squad develop their V4 engine. Yamaha will run a 1,000cc V4 engine in 2026, before the 850cc era begins in 2027.
