Jack Miller is among several riders out of contract at the end of the 2026 MotoGP season, and his days beyond that in the sport could be numbered.

The Aussie was offered a lifeline by Pramac in 2025 after he lost his seat at KTM. Finishing 17th in the standings, he did just enough to convince Yamaha to keep him alongside newcomer Toprak Razgatlioglu in 2026.

Where do you think Jack Miller will be racing in 2027?

But come next season, Miller finds himself fighting for his future again. Only Razgatlioglu, Johann Zarco, Diogo Moreira and Fermin Aldeguer have agreements in place beyond 2026, which could create a chaotic MotoGP rider market.

It is a critical season for Yamaha and Miller as the V4 bike is introduced in 2026. The Iwata outfit will hope the machine is competitive, but their riders must also deliver results, and the Pramac star is among those under serious pressure.

The 30-year-old will know that his days in MotoGP could be numbered. Miller was linked with World Superbikes for 2026, but managed to retain his seat at Pramac.

But he may not get another opportunity. According to a report from Paddock GP, Miller is among four riders who are entering their ‘last season in MotoGP’, the other three being Franco Morbidelli, Brad Binder and fellow Yamaha rider Alex Rins.

Which of these riders deserve a 2027 MotoGP contract the most?

Valentino Rossi gave close friend Morbidelli a new deal for 2026 at his VR46 team. But being the only Ducati rider not to win a race on the GP24, arguably the greatest MotoGP bike ever designed, he is under real pressure to keep his seat in 2026.

Binder’s future at KTM is no longer certain after suffering his worst campaign since his rookie season in 2020 last year. Being dominated by Pedro Acosta in 2026 will mark the final straw for the South African’s MotoGP career.

Rins has struggled to perform since his serious leg injury in 2023. It was even reported that Miller could replace Rins at Yamaha in 2026, but now, both riders face the possibility of dropping out of the sport at the end of the season.

What does Jack Miller need to do to secure his MotoGP future?

Miller did show flashes of his quality in 2025, including a strong P5 finish in Austin. But that was his only top-five finish of the season, and there lies his problem: consistency.

The Aussie could not string together results, retiring seven times across the season and suffering multiple crashes. Miller lacked a ‘reference’ thanks to Miguel Oliveira’s struggles, but he will certainly have that in 2026.

Razgatlioglu will be a huge test for Miller and he will need to be on his game to beat him. He may be a rookie, but the Turkish rider has incredible talent and he could be the deciding factor for his teammate’s career.

If the Aussie is nowhere near Razgatlioglu, then it would certainly mark the end of his time in MotoGP. Pramac are already being linked with Izan Guevara, putting Miller under even more pressure.
