Marc Marquez has returned to his perch above the rest of the MotoGP grid following his 2025 title feat, and his assistant has revealed that training with one on-track rival has made him ‘invincible’.
The Spaniard was nothing short of dominant throughout the entirety of the current premier class season with the factory Ducati outfit, winning 25 out of a possible 36 races before his season was unfortunately cut short due to a broken collarbone.
Luckily, Marquez had already clinched the 2025 title at the race prior, leaving the rest of the grid to squabble for the rest of the top spots in the standings in his absence.
Marquez has now been ruled out for the rest of the season, with his eyes firmly set on returning to the grid at full fitness next year in hopes of equalling Giacomo Agostini’s record of eight premier class titles.

Jose Luis Martinez thinks Marc Marquez has become ‘invincible’ in MotoGP due to training with Alex Marquez
In an editorial lauding the success of the Marquez brothers during the 2025 campaign, Marc’s assistant, Jose Luis Martinez, highlighted Alex Marquez as one of the main factors behind the factory Ducati rider’s return to dominance.
Speaking to El Periodico, the Spaniard offered an insight into the relationship between the two premier class riders who call each other brother, saying, “They enjoy everyday life together very much.
“Whatever they do, they start breakfast with laughter and go to bed laughing, having experienced the hardest day of training or competition.
“Just imagine for a few seconds that Carlos Alcaraz trained every day with Novak Djokovic. Don’t you think they would be even better than they are?
“They would be invincible because they feed off each other, they motivate each other, they stimulate each other, and they improve day by day.
“Well, that’s what happens to Marc and Alex. Everything comes naturally to them; they do everything at full speed, they don’t like to lose, never, and they understand each other just by looking.”

Alex Marquez and Marc Marquez have been highly supportive of each other during the current MotoGP season
The younger Marquez brother secured the best championship position of his premier class career this season, with the results of the Malaysian Grand Prix Sprint race cementing his second-place finish in the standings.
Marc sent a heartfelt message to Alex on social media following the confirmation of the runner-up spot going to the Gresini man, drawing eyes to the fact that they have both been an integral part of each other’s development in the last couple of campaigns.
Earlier in the season, Marc revealed how ‘essential’ Alex is to his training for race weekends. As alluded to by Martinez, the duo spends a lot of time together, where they discuss different talking points from their individual races and offer advice.
However, the brotherly love may prove to be more feisty next season. With Alex putting up half of a fight atop last year’s spec of Ducati bike during the current term, the 29-year-old will be racing on the exact same calibre of machinery as his high-flying brother next year.
Sparks may fly if the Gresini rider is able to put up more of a genuine fight for the title in 2026.
