Marc Marquez is dominating yet another season of MotoGP just when fans were starting to think he might have been past his best.

The eight-time champion and Ducati have been almost unstoppable for the majority of 2025, sweeping 19 of 24 races on offer.

In fact, the Italian manufacturer have dropped just two races all season, losing out to Johann Zarco at Le Mans, and Marco Bezzecchi at Silverstone.

Even their satellite operations have been impressive, with both Gresini and VR46 chipping in with multiple podiums and the odd win.

So, here at MotoGP News, we wondered just how the MotoGP standings would stack up at the summer break, if there were no Ducati riders involved.

How the 2025 MotoGP standings would look without Ducati as Brad Binder surges

In recent times, one team has begun to show signs of resistance, with multiple rostrums at recent events. Despite their strong form, Marco Bezzecchi had no chance of beating Marquez on his Aprilia at Brno.

Their improvement in form coincides with the return of Jorge Martin, who has missed the majority of the season with injuries sustained in accidents.

Taking a look at the MotoGP standings without Ducati, it’s no surprise that the man in the best form other than Marquez leads the way. Bezzecchi has been a standout rider.

However, it’s also a surprise to see that Brad Binder, who himself has endured a bit of a miserable campaign, finds himself sixth overall, despite being 12th in the real order.

Martin praised Aprilia for a ‘perfect’ comeback, but he will be expecting to rise up the standings quite rapidly when he returns after the summer break. He has a lot of missed time to make up for.

While Pedro Acosta should be wary of a ‘dangerous’ KTM situation, for now, he can be content that he has been the second-best non-Ducati rider in 2025. The signs are promising after a frustrating start to the season.

How the MotoGP standings without Ducati prove how unlucky one rider has been in 2025

You don’t have to look too hard at the list to see just how unlucky Honda’s Joan Mir has been in 2025. Yet again, he has been subject to so many accidents and so much misfortune.

By just making the finish in half of the races he has retired from, he could find himself as many as five positions higher and in eighth place in our standings.

Teammate Luca Marini got himself injured in a test for the Suzuka 8 Hour, missed several races and returned to the bike, and has still scored more points.

For the 2020 MotoGP champion, silverware must feel like it came a long, long time ago. At least Honda are showing signs of life compared to 2024.
