Marc Marquez is back to his best in MotoGP with Ducati in 2025, as he looks on course to win his seventh world championship.
It has been a remarkable recovery from the 32-year-old after years of injury and setbacks since his near-career-ending crash with Honda at Jerez in 2020. Marquez’s mother told him ‘everything will work out’ after the accident; she could not have been more right.
After years of recovery and a switch of manufacturer, Marquez has been reborn at Ducati. After 10 rounds in 2025, he has already racked up 15 wins, including Sprint races, and leads the championship by 68 points over brother Alex Marquez.
His dominance has been astronomical, as well as his drive to succeed and overcome setbacks. Pedro Acosta says Marquez is MotoGP’s toughest rider in history after he crashed twice in practice at Assen and bounced back to achieve a 37-point maximum.
The Spaniard has grabbed the Sprint and Grand Prix win six times already this season. He is going full throttle in his bid to grab another premier class title.

Marc Marquez is training to a ‘military discipline’ to win the 2025 MotoGP title
Since his injury in 2025, the Ducati rider has been working extensively behind the scenes to get back to the top of MotoGP. Marquez says brother Alex is ‘essential’ to his training as he pushes hard to accomplish history.
Speaking via the Motorsport Espana YouTube channel, journalist Alberto Gomez spoke to Marquez’s entourage at the Dutch Grand Prix. The 32-year-old is training to a ‘military discipline’ to win the 2025 title.
“He’s very humble, obviously I don’t want to get too excited because he knows where he’s coming from and he knows that he’s coming off four very tough years, and he doesn’t want to waste a single minute or second of focus on something he hasn’t yet achieved.
“But it is true, and speaking with Marc’s entourage, is that apart from what is seen in the race outside of them, the training rhythm of martial and military discipline that he is taking to try to get this world championship and return again to the top [is] high.
“Well, it is clearly being seen in this championship, and well, I think this has only been the warm-up for what may come in Sachsenring.”

Marc Marquez can equal Valentino Rossi’s MotoGP titles in 2025 as intense rivalry still stands
Winning the 2025 championship would put Marquez equal with Valentino Rossi with seven premier class titles. Despite retiring from motorcycle racing in 2022, the Italian’s rivalry with the Spaniard is still felt today.
Rossi’s entourage are worried by Marquez’s form as they do not want to see his nemesis break his records. The Ducati rider can dethrone the 46-year-old as MotoGP’s oldest champion this year.
Marquez has ‘never’ had contact with Rossi since their intense rivalry on the track in the 2010s. Interestingly, Marquez is not bothered by tying Rossi’s record, and is instead focused on his comeback for his lengthy injuries.
But despite their lack of contact, the pair’s conflict is still felt today, evidenced by Marquez being booed by the Italian crowd after winning at Mugello. Davide Tardozzi has urged Rossi to make peace, claiming that his rider is ready to end their long-standing feud.
