Jack Miller has massive uncertainty surrounding him as the 2025 MotoGP season approaches the summer break. His place with Pramac is under threat.
The Aussie only penned a one-year deal with the Tuscany-based outfit as they offered a lifeline for his MotoGP career. Miller would have likely been off the grid had Pramac not stepped in after his disappointing spell at KTM.
On paper, his results in 2025 perhaps leave something to be desired, as he sits 16th in the standings with 31 points. But Yamaha have talked up Miller’s technical feedback, with his experience being hugely important for the manufacturer as they look to rebuild in MotoGP.
Part of that rebuild has included Pramac signing Toprak Razgatlioglu for 2026. The Turkish World Superbike rider will finally move to MotoGP next year with Yamaha, snubbing interest from rival manufacturer Honda.
This puts Miller at risk of losing his seat with the team, given his contract is up in 2025. But his teammate is not safe either, as Miguel Oliveira is not meeting his performance clause, which could see Pramac drop him before his deal expires in 2026.

Jack Miller appears ‘very relaxed’ amid MotoGP uncertainty with Pramac
Following the arrival of defending WSBK champion Razgatlioglu, Miller appeared to be a rider under pressure in behind-the-scenes footage at Aragon. The 30-year-old has only finished inside the top 10 twice thus far in 2025.
But journalist Matt Clayton says Miller seems ‘very relaxed’, despite not having job security for 2026 and coming into the Italian Grand Prix, where he has retired four times over the years.
“The Jack of old worth have been turning up to this race weekend a little bit jumpy, a little bit on edge, knowing the history, knowing that it’s not gone that well for him in the past,” said Clayton via Pit Talk.
“He seems, oddly, for a guy who’s got, on paper, no job security, he actually seems very relaxed and I think part of that is he knows he got this career lifeline last year.
“He’d kind of come to terms with the fact that it was over [after signing his Pramac deal] and he was not happy about it, but he understood it.
“Because the KTM tenure hadn’t gone particularly well, particularly the second year and it took a special set of circumstances for him to be on the grid for ’25 and he’s almost been given this sort of 11th-hour reprieve.
“And I think he’s done a really good job with it. He’s so much more confident, he’s so much happier, he knows he’s having an impact with this team.
“His fingerprints are all over that place at the moment and I think his input there has been greatly appreciated and I think he’s enjoying being a bit of a leader.”

Jack Miller is not shy of offers as Pramac weigh up their options for 2026
Pramac will decide on Miller’s future before the summer break as they assess their options for Razgatlioglu’s teammate. The team have several candidates for the seat, with Enea Bastianini being an option as he is unsatisfied at KTM.
Yamaha could battle for Manu Gonzalez, after the Moto2 rider caught their eye with his test with Trackhouse at Aragon. Aprilia could face competition from Pramac as they look to replace Jorge Martin; the Spaniard would put Miller and Oliveira out of a seat.
However, there is a way that the Aussie can stay on the grid. Miller could join the factory Yamaha team to partner with Fabio Quartararo after helping to develop the M1.
Alternatively, the 30-year-old could do a straight swap with Razgatlioglu, as Honda have prepared a three-year WSBK deal to join the series. Michelin may have given Miller a big incentive to take the offer, as they will become WSBK’s tyre supplier from 2027.
