The start of the 2025 MotoGP season has been dominated by one man who has won all four races from the front so far.
The combination of Marc Marquez and a factory Ducati bike has been unstoppable and it doesn’t look set to slow down any time soon.
The Argentina Grand Prix showed just how far the 32-year-old is ahead of his rivals. For the second consecutive race, he toyed with his brother to save his tyres before sailing into the distance.
Carlo Pernat has sent a worrying warning after Marquez’s win and like many others, struggles to see anyone else other than him winning this year.
Everyone in the paddock expected Marquez to win the second race of the year, and he did just that. The upcoming Grand Prix of the Americas suits his riding style even more. Things do not look good for his opponents.

Giacomo Agostini insists Marc Marquez is the ‘most naughty’ MotoGP rider he has ever seen
Giacomo Agostini is a motorcycle legend and won 15 championships and 122 races during his career. If anyone can judge the best talents, it’s him.
In an interview with La Repubblica, he called the current championship leader and six-time champion the naughtiest rider he has ever seen.
“Marc is the most naughty rider I have ever seen in my life,” he said. “He is almost more rogue than me in my good times as a rider.
“That’s why I know he wants to win all the grand prix this season because I would also race with that mentality: go out and win all the races.”
Great racers do not relent and after so many years of being doomed in the midfield, Marquez is more than ready to dominate for the rest of the MotoGP season.
He’s one title away from matching Valentino Rossi’s tally of 500cc/premier titles which would likely mean a lot to the Spaniard who views the Italian as a strong rival.
Who is Marc Marquez’s closest competitor for the MotoGP title in 2025?
Marquez already feels like a champion at Ducati after sharing a one-two with his brother in Thailand. Something which he repeated in Argentina.
Having Alex next to him on the podium is a proud moment for himself and his family. The younger Marquez is yet to win a race after 90 starts.
Marc has already backed Alex to take his first victory in 2025 after showing so much pace in pre-season and throughout the first two events. He knows it’s coming soon.
He is his closest competitor currently. Teammate Francesco Bagnaia is nowhere near the level he should be performing at and it’s giving him an easier ride.
Maybe there’s a chance that the battle becomes a lot closer when MotoGP heads to Qatar next month, but the championship lead may already be too big by then.
