The start of the 2025 MotoGP season is just days away and there’s plenty of anticipation over which Ducati rider will come out on top in Thailand.
Sunday officially commences a new rivalry between Marc Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia with a major title battle awaiting them.
Ducati have paired them together after deciding that the Spaniard still has plenty left to give at the age of 32.
Marquez is unbothered by Valentino Rossi’s champion record as claiming the crown would make him the oldest four-stroke champion in history.
He proved during an impressive spell at Gresini last year that he can still win races, even after a near five-year absence from the top step of the podium.
Peter Bom thinks Bagnaia may be untouchable against Marquez from a mental perspective, making their fight fascinating for fans to watch.

Franco Morbidelli thinks Marc Marquez is faster than Francesco Bagnaia ahead of Grand Prix of Thailand
With Pramac’s switch to Yamaha bikes from Ducati for 2025, it’s fairly clear that the riders’ championship will have a new winner.
They’ve changed both riders for 2025, with one of their departing figures set to remain on Ducati machinery after Franco Morbidelli made a move to VR46.
The Italian finished ninth in the standings last season with a best finish of fourth and should be somewhere similar this season.

“The conditions were really hot, but we did the long run for the race distance. Pace was decent,” he told Crash.net.
“Looks like there’s a big group behind Marc, who is a little bit ahead of everybody on this track. That’s how it looks. But things can change pretty quick.”
