Rivola took over as the CEO of Aprilia in January 2019 after a decade at the Ferrari Formula 1 team, where he served as sporting director and director of the Ferrari Driver Academy.
The economics and commerce graduate from the University of Bologna started his motorsport career in the marking department of the Minardi F1 team and Rivola went on to serve as sporting director and team manager plus as the team manager of Toro Rosso.
