Marc Marquez would have struggled to fend off Jorge Martin if he was at Ducati
The last few races, ever since Marc Marquez made his return from his injury at the Italian Grand Prix, Aprilia’s factory team have consistently been delivering underwhelming performances.
After Marco Bezzecchi’s Italian Grand Prix win, Aprilia have failed to earn a podium place in any of the following four races.
In fact, Aprilia’s only wins as a constructor have come from Trackhouse’s recent improvement, with Ai Ogura earning consecutive podium finishes in the last three races, including a win at the Dutch Grand Prix.
Meanwhile, Ducati have been on a tear in the second quarter of the season, earning major wins in three of the last four races thanks to Marquez.
As for Martin, he has had to settle for a third-place finish at the Dutch Grand Prix, while Aprilia have been struggling massively.
One can only imagine how much stronger his performances would have been had he been riding Aprilia’s GP-26 bike this season.

Jorge Martin will be eyeing more successful season with Yamaha next season
Many fans questioned Martin’s decision to join Yamaha in 2027, given their recent struggles and his ambitions to win a world championship.
Martin has recently defended his move to Yamaha, and suggested that he will surprise everyone with his performances next season.
And given how much Aprilia have struggled this season, he has reason to be optimistic about his future with Yamaha, even with their recent issues.
But Martin losing the championship could force Yamaha’s hand, as they might turn their focus to Ogura, who has looked far more successful.
