Nicolo Bulega is set to reunite with World Superbikes rival Toprak Razgatlioglu in MotoGP next year, and the Pramac rider’s camp keep saying the same thing about the Italian.

Razgatlioglu made the step up to MotoGP this year after beating Bulega to his third WSBK title last season. Riding with Pramac Yamaha, the Turkish star is slowly adapting to the premier class, having scored 11 points from his first nine races.

Razgatlioglu feels he could finish in the top five on a ‘slightly better’ Yamaha bike, and perhaps the 2027 regulations could give him that chance. But he will have to face tough competition, including, according to reports, Bulega.

How many podiums would Nicolo Bulega score as a rookie if he moves to MotoGP for 2027?

Toprak Razgatlioglu’s camp keep saying that Nicolo Bulega will be ‘better’ than him in MotoGP

Bulega is set to join VR46 in 2027, partnering with Fermin Aldeguer. The Italian has been fighting to get on the MotoGP grid since he stood in for Marc Marquez at the end of 2025.

Ducati are set to give him that chance with VR46 after an incredible WSBK season. Thus far, Bulega has won every race in the series, and this dominance looks like it is about to reunite him with Razgatlioglu in MotoGP.

Given the situation at Yamaha and the fact that Razgatlioglu needs time to adapt to the bikes, the Turkish rider’s camp keeps saying the same thing about Bulega’s chances in MotoGP.

Razgatlioglu said Bulega would be ‘much better’ than him in the premier class, and his manager, Kenan Sofuoglu, echoed those thoughts via Motosprint.

“I think Nicolò has had a very different career than Toprak,” he said. “Toprak never had the goal of reaching MotoGP, but after so many successes with BMW, life pushed us into this championship.

“Bulega is doing great things in Superbike, and we respect him greatly. I’ve never thought his results are down to the bike; he’s riding very well, and the fact that he beat Bautista as soon as he arrived in Superbike deserves great respect.

Would Nicolo Bulega completing an unbeaten World Superbike season eclipse Toprak Razgatlioglu’s career achievements in WSBK?

“He’s winning every race, and his results are taking him to MotoGP, which is the right thing to do. Nicolò also has a smoother ride than Toprak, and with the current Ducati, he can help.

“He also already knows the paddock, which is a huge advantage. I think his entry into MotoGP will be better than ours, and he can have many years in MotoGP, I’m sure of it.”

Razgatlioglu backs Bulega to achieve ‘special’ results in MotoGP when he arrives. Ducati will certainly give him the tools to do that with VR46, and his talent is certain to put him in a strong position.
