Toprak Razgatlioglu thinks Nicolo Bulega will achieve ‘special’ results with Ducati in MotoGP amid reports linking him to VR46 in 2027.

The Turkish rider moved to the premier class from World Superbikes in 2026 with Pramac Yamaha. Bulega has stayed in WSBK and has been dominating the championship, winning every race thus far.

With his incredible form, Bulega wants to make the step to MotoGP in 2027. He impressed with Ducati in the final two races in 2025 as Marc Marquez’s replacement, and he is now eyeing a full-time seat.

Bulega would not be happy with Ducati if they deny him a MotoGP seat. The factory team is off the cards, as is Gresini, but Valentino Rossi’s VR46 team is a solid option.

Bulega is in contention for the seat as Rossi wants to sign an Italian rider to partner with Fermin Aldeguer. Some reports have even suggested that the deal is done and will move to VR46 in 2027.

Amid the rumours, Razgatlioglu is backing his former WSBK rival to do ‘special’ things in MotoGP. He hopes that Ducati give him a chance.

Do you agree with Toprak Razgatlioglu that Nicolo Bulega deserves a MotoGP ride?

He said via Motosan: “I think Bulega deserves MotoGP because he’s a very fast rider and would have a great opportunity if Ducati brought him here.

“He’s still young, only 26, and has a MotoGP-ready style, so I think he could achieve some special results with them. We’ll see, but I think he deserves it because he’s really strong in Superbike.

“I hope Ducati keeps him on their roster and takes him to MotoGP. If not, I think he’ll look for another team, but Ducati would be the best option for him because he’s grown up with them.”

Toprak Razgatlioglu wants Nicolo Bulega in MotoGP

Razgatlioglu says Ducati ‘need’ to move Bulega to MotoGP, praising his talents in WSBK. In the Turkish rider’s absence, Bulega has completely controlled the series.

He is looking for that step to the premier class, and VR46 look to be giving him that opportunity alongside Aldeguer in 2027.

Before the 2026 season, Razgatlioglu said Bulega would be ‘much better’ than him in MotoGP. That may be true in 2027, mainly due to the Ducati being superior to the Yamaha right now, but the 26-year-old will certainly need time to adjust.
