Sylvain Guintoli was left in disbelief after seeing Marc Marquez make a ‘super aggressive’ move during the Italian Grand Prix Sprint.
Heading into the weekend in Mugello, all the headlines were dominated by Marquez as he made his return to the track after being involved in a massive crash in Le Mans.
Marquez impressed on Friday as he secured a place in Q2 before qualifying in fourth place for Saturday’s Sprint and Sunday’s main Grand Prix.
In the Sprint, the 33-year-old made a brilliant start and was in the lead momentarily before being overtaken by the likes of Raul Fernandez, Jorge Martin, Fabio Di Giannantonio and Marco Bezzecchi, ending the race in fifth place.
Trackhouse rider Fernandez ended up winning the Sprint ahead of Martin and Di Giannantonio.

Sylvain Guintoli praises ‘super aggressive’ Marc Marquez move
During the opening lap, former MotoGP rider Guintoli was impressed by an aggressive move Marquez made at Turn 1.
Guintoli, who raced for Yamaha, Ducati and Suzuki during his career, applauded the Spaniard’s bravery to stick his bike up the inside.
He said on TNT Sports: “It was a great, great start by Marc Marquez. The three Aprilias started really well as well. That was not the surprise, though. Marc Marquez was super aggressive into turn one on the inside, and holding the position.
“At that point, we thought, ‘No way. There is no way he can do that.’ Raul Fernandez went around the outside at turn two.
“Marc Marquez tried to fend him off, but he was struggling again, just as he always has, in the opening laps. He gets bumped out of the way by Jorge Martin, and both of the Aprilias are gone.”

Raul Fernandez ‘super happy’ after impressive Sprint victory at Mugello
Speaking after the race, a delighted Fernandez expressed his happiness over winning the Sprint.
The Trackhouse star was quick to thank the team and stated that he will try to win again on Sunday.
As per TNT Sports, Fernandez said: “I feel super happy. I don’t really have the words. But anyway, thanks to the team, I think since Jerez, we are making a good job, and yeah, today and yesterday we went well.
“I felt the pace (was there), I felt comfortable with the bike also, and I tried. Thanks to the team.
“It is also really nice to see all the good people here, because it’s the first time that they, they are using this (Gulf Oil) livery in Europe with MotoGP, so thanks to them. And tomorrow we will try again.”
