Toprak Razgatlioglu has once again praised Pramac teammate Jack Miller for helping him adapt to MotoGP. Razgatlioglu scored his first points in the premier class at the United States Grand Prix on Sunday.
The Turkish rider qualified 17th in Austin, a couple of tenths slower than top Yamaha Fabio Quartararo in P16. He now leads Miller 2-1 in the single-lap head-to-head.
Razgatlioglu equalled his entire 2025 crash tally in Brazil and surpassed it here, though his team suspected an electronic issue was to blame for his early exit in the Sprint.

Will he score over or under 50 this season?
Yamaha riders were the final four finishers in the main race, but Razgatlioglu led that pack in P15 to get off the mark in Grand Prix racing.
‘We are really good teammates’ – Toprak Razgatlioglu on Jack Miller help
Speaking to TNT Sports before the race, Razgatlioglu emphasised just how comfortable he feels in the Pramac environment. Having finished bottom last year, Gino Borsoi’s squad were the only team yet to score in 2026, but that didn’t affect the ‘atmosphere’.
Razgatlioglu spoke particularly highly of Miller, having followed him during pre-season testing and learned the importance of a ‘calm’ riding style.
Miller’s lean angle surprised Razgatlioglu, a three-time World Superbikes champion. He was also struck by the speed that the Australian could carry through longer corners.

“I’m very happy with my team,” he said. “Inside, everyone is really warm and the atmosphere is really good.
“I’m really enjoying [being] with the team, especially with Jack Miller. He’s a crazy guy, but we are really good teammates.
“In Malaysia, he helped me a lot, and also in Thailand. I’m trying to understand the bike’s potential and the limit.
“If you follow the fast riders, you always open the gas too early. He’s fast, you try to stay with him, you are always attacking the gas early, trying to do more hard braking.
“But a MotoGP bike, from what I understand, you need to ride a little more calm.”
Fellow rookie Diogo Moreira has followed Marc Marquez, but Razgatlioglu has preferred to focus on a more realistic short-term target.
Jack Miller reacts to P16 finish at the United States Grand Prix
Miller is now one of only two full-time riders without a point. The other, Maverick Vinales, missed last weekend’s race through injury and hasn’t been fully fit this year.
Still, the four-time Grand Prix winner tried to take the positives from his near-miss at the Circuit of the Americas. The extended gap before the next race in Spain could be particularly valuable for Yamaha, who say their development curve will be steeper than ever in year one of the V4 era.
“P16 today,” Miller wrote on Instagram. “Felt better on the bike and we made some steps which is the main thing. Still a few bits in the DNA we need to sort, but we’re getting there. Back to Europe next and we’ll keep chipping away.”
Quartararo’s despair over the Yamaha bike is matched by factory teammate Alex Rins, but Miller and Razgatlioglu have consistently sounded more positive since winter testing.
