Toprak Razgatlioglu is still learning the ropes in MotoGP ahead of his rookie season, and has shared how Jack Miller ‘amazed’ him during the final session of pre-season testing in Buriram.
After claiming his third title in World Superbikes last year, Toprak Razgatlioglu’s transition to MotoGP has been anything but seamless.
As expected, Razgatlioglu has found it difficult to adapt to the Michelin-branded tyres that the premier class is supplied with, as well as a plethora of issues that have come with Yamaha’s new V4-powered M1 prototype.
Fabio Quartararo has advised Razgatlioglu to remain patient as he gets to grips with MotoGP machinery, but the Turkish rider’s frustrations can be sympathised with, especially considering how highly anticipated his move over to the premier class has been.
Razgatlioglu has two of the best advisors in his corner ahead of his rookie campaign, between the Frenchman and seasoned veteran Jack Miller, and has revealed how the Australian’s riding style caught him by surprise in Buriram.

Toprak Razgatlioglu shares how Jack Miller ‘amazed’ him during Buriram MotoGP test
During an interview with Moto.it upon the conclusion of the proceedings in Buriram, the Grand Prix motorcycle racing rookie was asked about his final session of pre-season testing following a morning filled with trying out different set-ups.
He replied, “We started with used tyres to understand the bike, but we also made good times. The tyres had already been on for 14 laps, we did another 6-7 with them and the times were really good.”
Razgatlioglu then highlighted how he began to feel like he was finally adapting to his new bike, but also noted how Miller was far superior to him in the first sector of the circuit.
The 29-year-old added, “I was surprised, because by doing so many laps I’m starting to adapt to the bike and manage the tyres. But when I followed Jack for the time attack, I was very surprised, because I was losing a lot in the first sector.
“I realised that I always go a little slower because I don’t trust the front tyre much. Braking is OK, but I don’t know the limit when it comes to leaning.
“When I saw Jack at the first corner, he was leaning a lot straight away. I was waiting for him to crash, then when I saw him turn, I was amazed.”
Razgatlioglu has previously revealed his surprise with Miller’s racecraft, pinpointing the veteran’s prowess in long corners as something that he simply can’t work out how to replicate.

Which MotoGP satellite team has the best 2026 rider line-up?
Toprak Razgatlioglu also detailed how Jack Miller is helping him ‘every day’ at Pramac
The Pramac teammate pairing is already a fan-favourite, with MotoGP fans declaring Miller and Razgatlioglu as the ‘most cheerful’ line-up on the grid.
While friendships won’t win the Turkish rider a championship, having a good rapport with the rider next door will certainly aid his transition from WSBK to the premier class.
During his interview with the Italian publication, Razgatlioglu issued an update on what it’s like to work with Miller at the Italian satellite team.
He said, “I’m very happy to work with my team, especially my teammate. He’s a really good guy. I’m happy to work with him. He helps me every day because he has more experience than me.
“I have to learn something, but that’s positive. Sometimes I work with Jack, and yes, it’s difficult for me, but I like the MotoGP paddock.”
