The MotoGP rider market has developed quicker than expected
The MotoGP rider market usually is a slow burner that runs throughout the season with new rumours arising at each round.
However, this season it has been developing much quicker than expected with, an idea of the 2027 grid already taking shape.
Bastianini predicted to Sky Sports Italia that the 2027 grid will be ‘pretty much settled’ by the Grand Prix of the United States at the end of March.
“In my opinion, this year the market has developed much earlier than usual. Usually, you would expect five or six races, but this year, I think that within two or three races, almost all the drivers will be pretty much settled. At least, that’s what I think.”
