Alex Marquez is a target for multiple factory teams in MotoGP in 2027 as he is linked with a move away from Gresini.
The Spaniard has expressed that he is happy at the Ducati satellite team. They have given him the platform to perform at the front after a torrid spell at Honda.
He enjoyed his best MotoGP season to date in 2025, winning his first three races and finishing second in the standings. But while Marquez is comfortable at Gresini, he has expressed that he wants to ride for a factory team.

The 29-year-old will have a factory bike in 2026, but that could be as close as he gets to the main team. His brother, Marc Marquez, has already signed his new contract with Ducati, while the Bologna Bullets are said to have signed Pedro Acosta to partner him.
With the two factory Ducati seats taken up, Alex Marquez is faced with the reality of leaving the Borgo Panigale outfit in 2027 if he is set on joining a works team.

Given his form in 2025, Marquez is not shy of options for 2027. Among them is KTM, who are looking to act fast after losing Acosta.
KTM have already promoted Maverick Vinales to the factory team in 2027. They now have to decide whether to keep Brad Binder, who struggled immensely in 2025, or delve into the MotoGP rider market and poach a rival talent.
Vinales would be ‘happy’ if KTM signed Marquez in 2027. However, they may have to bide their time, as Marquez wants to wait to decide his future and see what options he has on the table.
Speaking with Motorsport-Magazin, KTM’s motorsport director Pit Beirer was quizzed on the rumours around his team, including Acosta’s pending exit and Marquez’s links. When asked about the latter, he offered some ambiguous remarks.
Asked about the Gresini rider’s desire to ride for a factory team, he said: “As the current runner-up in the world championship, he certainly deserves it more than enough. I wish him all the best for his next steps.”

Yamaha and Aprilia have also been linked with Alex Marquez
Alongside KTM, several other manufacturers have also expressed an interest in signing Marquez for 2027.
Marquez is battling Pecco Bagnaia to join Yamaha, after the Iwata outfit signed Jorge Martin to replace Fabio Quartararo, who is bound for Honda.

If Yamaha opt for another rider, KTM is said to be the backup plan for Marquez. But Aprilia are also an option as they look to replace Martin.
However, the Spaniard is not strongly considering a move to Noale, with Yamaha and KTM being held in higher regard.
