Marc Marquez is single-handedly responsible for some of the greatest performances ever witnessed on a motorcycle.
On his day, he’s an unbeatable machine, and he proved that by dominating MotoGP at the age of 32 with a new team in 2025.
Ducati were unfazed by the prospect of him being past his best, and were rewarded for their bravery with one of their most imperious seasons ever.
This year, Marquez has the chance to pull clear of Valentino Rossi in multiple categories, and it’ll be hard for fans to argue against him being the greatest of all time.

Marquez urged his fans not to ‘hold a grudge’ against Rossi after more than a decade-long dispute following their infamous clash at the 2015 Malaysian Grand Prix.
Marquez will break Rossi’s records, and there’s little that anyone is going to be able to do about it while he’s on a Ducati bike.

Santi Hernandez insists Marc Marquez’s ‘best’ ever race was the 2011 French Grand Prix
Although Marquez’s mindset has changed with injuries, he still has the same raw talent that got him to where he is now.
His ex-crew chief, Santi Hernandez, believes that his best race actually came long before he made his MotoGP debut in 2013.
After failing to score points in any of the first three races of his debut Moto2 season in 2011, he struck back with a defiant win at the French Grand Prix, despite being as low as ninth on lap one.
“Marc has done many amazing things in his career, but for me, Le Mans 2011 is the best,” he said in Mat Oxley’s Marc The Magnificent book. “He started the season with three crashes [retirements], so many people started doubting him.
“Should he be in this team? Is he really that good? There was a big question mark. Yes, he is fast, but he always crashes.
“The point is how strong he was in his mind after those crashes. From Le Mans, he won, and he won, and he won, and he won!”

What happened to Marc Marquez during the rest of the 2011 Moto2 season?
Once Marquez figured out the Moto2 bikes and how to stay on them in 2011, he went on an incredible run.
After his statement performance at Le Mans, the fourth race of the campaign, he didn’t finish off the podium for the rest of the year.
Somehow, he didn’t win the championship. How? Because he suffered a nasty crash in Malaysia, which sidelined him from the final two rounds of the season.
He returned the following year to dominate by a similar margin, winning the Moto2 title and earning his promotion to MotoGP. The rest, they say, is history.
