Marco Bezzecchi took his third pole position of the 2025 MotoGP campaign at the Grand Prix of Indonesia after Francesco Bagnaia’s woes seemingly resumed as he exited Q1 in Mandalika.

The front row of the grid will feature two new faces as Fermin Aldeguer and Raul Fernandez booked their spots alongside Bezzecchi.

The Aprilia rider stamped his authority at the Indonesian circuit with a lap time nearly four tenths faster than the Gresini man in second.

Marquez was forced to claim his spot in Q2 during the first session of qualifying and set a time that was only good enough for the third row of the grid.

After clinching his seventh MotoGP title in Japan last weekend, the factory Ducati star will start from ninth to mark his worst grid slot of the season.

Alex Rins is joined by Pedro Acosta and Luca Marini on the second row of the grid. The fourth-place grid slot signifies Rins’ best starting position of the year, in a season marred by the poor performance of Yamaha machinery.

Alex Marquez will benefit from Bagnaia failing to qualify for Q2, as the Gresini rider could only manage to set a time fast enough to start from seventh in the Sprint race and Grand Prix.

Fabio Quartararo had an early off in the top 12 shootout after a promising start to the day in FP3. The Yamaha rider splits the Marquez brothers, as he will start from eighth after switching to his second bike.
