Marc Marquez has officially competed in 13 separate MotoGP seasons and might have claimed the title in more than half of them by the end of 2025.

Joining Ducati might end up being one of the best decisions he has made during his career. The GP25 bike has been dominant in his hands.

Marquez has revealed the shocking wage he received after leaving Honda to go and prove himself on another bike. Gresini did not have to pay him a penny in 2024.

After a promotion to the factory team for 2025, Marquez’s move soon paid dividends. Judging by his current form, he will go on to break many more records for them.

The Austrian Grand Prix looked as though it would be a close contest until the Spaniard found another gear in the closing laps, as he always does.

Ducati’s crew chief perfectly summed up Marquez and believes that the current version of him is the most complete one the sport has ever seen.

Casey Stoner tells Marc Marquez he will be the ‘last’ MotoGP rider capable of riding without controls

Fabio Quartararo was in awe of Marquez in Spielberg, as he watched him lap the Austrian circuit during qualifying.

If he can claim victory at the next four races, he will match his own record set in 2014 for the most consecutive wins in the sport’s history.

In 2014, technology wasn’t used remotely as much as it is today. With a new stability control on its way soon, two-time champion Casey Stoner has complimented Marquez.

During Episode 13 of INSIDE Ducati, he told the six-time champion how he’ll be the ‘last’ rider capable of being fast without any controls.

“I think it’s hard for the next generation, because you’re like the last [Marquez] of the generation which knows how to ride without control. But this generation they don’t know how to ride without controls,” he said.

“They don’t know how to be in front of the slide, in front of the slip. So, they’re always just reacting to these things. This is what they’re trying to do. This is why I’m fighting against.”

Marc Marquez tells Casey Stoner where MotoGP’s new generation are ‘super fast’

Marquez hatched an unsuccessful plan before crashing out of qualifying in Austria. He pushed too hard in a corner that teammate Francesco Bagnaia was simply faster in.

After Stoner complimented his skillset without any electronic aids, Marquez warned the Aussie of one benefit the new generation will have.

“But then on the time attack, the new generation are super fast, because they get used to [grip],” he said.

In other words, they have the confidence to lean on their bikes from lap one, without having any fear of a crash or falling off. There’s no voice in the back of their heads telling them to take it easy.
