Jack Miller is out of contract at the end of the 2025 season. He may be concerned, then, to see Pramac linked with a big-name rider.
Miller started the year well by qualifying fourth for the Thailand GP. He later finished an outstanding P5 five in the Americas.
But his momentum has somewhat faded since. He’s failed to finish the last three races, including the Sprint in Jerez last time out.
| RACE | Q | S | R |
| Thailand | 4 | DNF | 11 |
| Argentina | 13 | 11 | 13 |
| Americas | 9 | 14 | 5 |
| Qatar | 16 | 19 | DNF |
| Spain | 14 | DNF | DNF |
Teammate Miguel Oliveira will return at the French Grand Prix this weekend after an injury absence. His deal runs for two years.
Miller gave an emotional interview last summer when it looked as if his time in MotoGP may be coming to an end. Pramac offered him a lifeline, but his place beyond this year remains in doubt.
Paolo Pavesio’s bond with Toprak Razgatlioglu could bring him to Pramac
Miller is currently in his second stint at Pramac, having previously spent three seasons with the Italian team when they were aligned to Ducati. But they’re now a Yamaha satellite squad.
Paolo Pavesio, who heads up the Japanese manufacturer in Grand Prix racing, has an ‘excellent relationship’ with Toprak Razgatlioglu. The World Superbikes star used to be on their books and tested an M1 at Jerez in 2023.
While he now represents BMW, his contract is expiring and the MotoGP rumours have restarted. Pavesio believes Razgatlioglu, a two-time champion, could thrive in the sister discipline.
Speaking on the Paddock Pass Podcast, journalist David Emmett suggested the move was a real possibility. It would mean Razgatlioglu adjusting to another rules cycle after just 12 months, though.

“He’s going to Pramac Yamaha next year, I will put five pence on that,” Emmett said. “I know that it doesn’t make any sense, but it means that you’re in MotoGP and you get a two or a three-year contract.
“Paolo Pavesio knows Toprak Razgatlioglu extremely well, because he was the head of Yamaha Motor Europe before he became the head of Yamaha Motor Racing. He has an excellent relationship with Toprak, he knows him really well.
“He really rates him as well, from what I understand. It’s a chance to bring him back into the Yamaha family. You know that Toprak is going to be a superstar no matter what, even if he doesn’t perform particularly well.
“He’d be very good for the Turkish market. Honda have said, ‘No, no, no, we haven’t even mentioned him, we haven’t talked to Toprak at all’.
Kevin Schwantz spoke to Toprak Razgatlioglu last weekend – here’s what he thinks about MotoGP move
Razgatlioglu is currently second in the WSBK standings behind Nicolo Bulega, 34 points adrift. He’d likely encounter further Ducati dominance in MotoGP next year, but the 2027 rule changes could reshape the pecking order.
Danilo Petrucci says Razgatlioglu seems more ‘nervous’ in 2025. It may be that his mind is elsewhere as he considers a blockbuster transfer.
If indeed Honda aren’t in active pursuit, then Pramac could have a free run at the 28-year-old. Fabio Quartararo would offer a mighty benchmark at the factory team.
Having spoken to the BMW ace in Cremona last weekend, Kevin Schwantz backed Razgatlioglu to thrive in MotoGP. His ‘amazing’ control over the motorcycle should be transferrable, the legendary rider says.
