MotoGP fans were eagerly anticipating Marc Marquez’s arrival at the factory Ducati team in 2025. So far, the move has been an incredible success.
The six-time MotoGP champion has won seven of the eight races thus far, taking pole position in every round. He currently leads the championship by 17 points over his brother Alex.
Many anticipated a tough battle between Marquez and teammate Francesco Bagnaia in 2025. However, the former has developed a huge advantage with his dominance, as the latter has had little answer.
Bagnaia is still in the frame for the title, though, thanks to Marquez’s crash at the Americas Grand Prix. The Italian inherited the win at a circuit that has not been kind to him in the past.
The Qatar Grand Prix has been one of Bagnaia’s strongest and he went into the weekend with confidence off the back of his Austin win. However, the 28-year-old crashed in Q2 and lined up 11th, allowing Marquez to dominate again.
The 32-year-old took pole position, the Sprint win and the Grand Prix win at Lusail to reclaim the lead of the championship. Marquez is loving life at Ducati and he has had an incredible impact on the team.
