Jack Miller has been Yamaha’s most impressive MotoGP rider so far during the 2025 season and has been a solid signing for Pramac’s operations.

The Aussie signed a one-year contract to continue his career for an 11th season with a fourth different MotoGP manufacturer.

Miller was replaced by the talented young star Pedro Acosta at KTM and feared that it may spell the end of his career in the premier class.

However, he was handed a critical lifeline. Miller thinks Pramac saved his career by offering him a new deal.

They have entered a new satellite agreement with Yamaha for 2025, ending their partnership with Ducati after winning the riders’ championship with Jorge Martin. Pramac lost their champion to Aprilia over the winter and opted to fill his spot with experience.

Michael Laverty was stunned by Miller’s ‘exceptional talent’ after he shone in wet conditions at the third round of the season in Austin and allowed his talent to shine through during practice and qualifying.

Jack Miller saluted for classy Fabio Quartararo gesture on Grand Prix of Americas sighting lap

Conditions at the Grand Prix of Americas were impossible to predict all weekend and it made for a fascinating race.

The Grand Prix was red-flagged before one lap had been run as the riders opted for last-second switches to slick tyres.

On his second sighting lap before the red flag, Miller came across a stray Fabio Quartararo who had been caught out by the slippy conditions and slid off the track.

Fans were pleased to see the Australian help his fellow Yamaha rider by giving him a little push. Speaking on X, one fan wrote: “Great man!”

He won the support of another individual, who said “I will never speak ill of that man Jack Miller again,” with someone else saying “Jack Miller your local taxi service to the rescue.”

“Can always rely on Jack Miller,” said another fan and “Jack Miller for today only, you are in my good books,” concluded another.

Finally, “I love this guy,” wrote another admirer of the Aussie, who won himself some support for the generous gesture.

Jack Miller enjoys Grand Prix of Americas luck to payback gesture

While battling inside the top six, Miller gained a position when the imperious Marc Marquez crashed out of the lead of the race.

It left Miller fifth before ex-teammate Brad Binder overtook him and left him sixth – a very significant result for Yamaha.

After failing to secure one top 10 in the opening two events, his pace was super impressive and shows that Pramac could be podium contenders later on in the year.

Incredibly, Marquez’s crash and retirement means that his brother Alex takes the championship lead, despite continuing to await his maiden victory.
