MotoGP will contest a 22-round calendar during the 2026 season, taking the premier class of motorcycle racing to 18 countries and to 22 unique circuits around the world.

MotoGP largely favoured continuity when it arranged the calendar between the 2025 and 2026 seasons, with just one change of venue. MotoGP will not return to Argentina in 2026 and will instead return to Brazil for the first time since 1992, with a return also to Goiania.

MotoGP previously staged the Brazilian Grand Prix from 1987 to 1989 in Goiania, before the race took place at Interlagos in Sao Paulo in 1992. The original home of the Brazilian GP, the Autodromo Internacional Ayrton Senna, carried out major renovations to get MotoGP back.

The 2026 MotoGP season will begin in Buriram on March 1 with the Thai Grand Prix, as the calendar did in 2025. In keeping with recent tradition, the 2026 MotoGP calendar is also due to finish with the Valencia Grand Prix at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo slated for November 29.

Brazil will stage the only race due to be held in South America during round two of the 2026 MotoGP season, before the series goes to its sole race in North America – the United States Grand Prix in Texas. A brief stop off in Qatar was originally due to precede the European leg.

Qatar was initially due to feature in round four of the 2026 season, but the situation in the Middle East at the time forced MotoGP to postpone the race from April to November. The change of data also saw MotoGP push the Portuguese GP and the Valencia GP back a week.

Along with Brazil’s return to the calendar in Argentina’s place in 2026, MotoGP brought the date for the Catalan Grand Prix forward from September to May in round seven. Another of MotoGP’s visits to Spain, the Aragon Grand Prix, has been moved from June to August, too.

The British Grand Prix has also returned to a summer slot in the schedule, after running the 2025 edition in May proved to be a strategic flop for MotoGP and Silverstone. The circuit in England struggled against the last day of the Premier League season and the Isle of Man TT.

MotoGP will be joined at each round of the 2026 calendar by the Moto2 and Moto3 classes. With that in mind, MotoGP News runs through the full 2026 MotoGP calendar, including the date and time (in the UK) of every practice, qualifying, Sprint Race and Grand Prix session…
