But with a 40-point deficit between him and championship leader Jorge Martin, Marquez has to overcome a few riders to complete an incredible comeback.
But Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali believes there are a handful of riders that Marc Marquez has to get the better of to win the championship.

Claudio Domenicali says Marc Marquez must overcome ‘surprising’ Ducati rider in 2026 championship quest
Speaking to Gazzetta Della Sport, Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali was asked about who Marc Marquez has to worry about in the race to win the championship.
While discussing the four riders ahead of Marquez in the standings, Domenicali noted that Fabio Di Giannantonio, one of Ducati’s own, has been one of the biggest surprises for him the championship race.
“It’s going to be tough. We’re definitely not starting as favourites because there are four riders ahead of Marc.
“We also have a surprising Di Giannantonio, who’s just missing the win. I think a lot will depend on which Márquez we see after the summer.
“Whether it’s the one from last year before Indonesia or the one from the first half of this year. That will be the deciding factor.”

Some might expect Marquez to seek revenge against Di Giannantonio in the coming races, but he will be ready to fend off the Spanish rider.
