MotoGP have finally reached an agreement with every brand on the premier class grid over their futures in the sport, announcing a ‘historic’ deal that has seen all five brands sign a groundbreaking framework agreement that will span from 2027 to 2031.

Confirmation of the agreement sees every manufacturer on the MotoGP grid signing a single, unified pact that resembles the Concorde agreement that has been in place in Formula 1 since the early 1980s.

The deal guarantees the presence of all five factory brands – Aprilia, Ducati, Honda, KTM and Yamaha – for the next five years at the very least. It also comes ahead of MotoGP’s overhaul of the technical regulations, which is set to come into effect next year.

Parallel to the deal involving each manufacturer, MotoGP has also agreed to principal terms with each of the 11 teams that make up the grid, with a formal announcement on that deal expected ‘in due course’.

Following the announcement of the historic agreement, the CEO of MotoGP Sports Entertainment Group, Carmelo Ezpeleta, said, “Today marks a defining moment for MotoGP.

“The commitment of all five manufacturers not only reinforces the strength of the championship today but underlines the shared ambition driving its future.

“Together with our longstanding partnership with the FIM through to 2060, this agreement gives us a powerful platform to continue growing – building on decades of progress while accelerating into a new phase for the sport.”
