MotoGP visits Brno this weekend for the 2026 Czech Grand Prix, so we have looked at everything that you need to know – from how to watch to the local weather forecast.
Brno returned to the MotoGP calendar in 2025 after a four-year absence and saw Ducati ace Marc Marquez clinch his fourth premier class victory at the iconic track. Only Valentino Rossi has won more top-tier Grands Prix in Czechia with five, including once during the 500cc era.
The 2025 Czech GP was a perfect week for the factory Ducati team, as Francesco Bagnaia got pole before Marquez also won last July’s Sprint Race and Grand Prix. Bagnaia got pole at Brno in 2025 after Marquez crashed in Q2 while setting a faster lap at the end of qualifying.
Marquez has the momentum ahead of the 2026 Czech GP, as well, after he recorded his first Grand Prix win of the season last time out. On the back of his second pole of 2026, Marquez beat Pedro Acosta to win the Sprint Race at Balaton Park and also again in the Hungarian GP.
Brno will pose a much tougher test for Marquez’s right shoulder following his injury issues in 2026 than Balaton Park presented, however. The weather forecast could also come into play during the Czech GP, with the forecast showing signs of rain for race day at Brno on Sunday.

Who won the last MotoGP Czech Grand Prix at Brno in 2025?
Ducati racer Marc Marquez did the double the last time that MotoGP raced at Brno in 2025, as the Spaniard scored Sprint and Grand Prix wins at the Czech GP amid his dominant streak of seven successive doubles. Ducati star Francesco Bagnaia also took pole at Brno in 2025.
Bagnaia beat Marquez to pole for the 2025 Czech GP thanks to his teammate’s crash at the end of Q2 whilst on a faster lap of Brno. The Italian set a 1:52.303 lap of Brno to take his first pole of the 2025 season, while Yamaha star Fabio Quartararo completed the front row in P3.
Starting from P2 did not stop Marquez from winning the Brno Sprint Race in 2025, when the would-be 2025 champion edged KTM’s Pedro Acosta by only 0.798 seconds over the finish line. Tech3 ace Enea Bastianini rounded out the Sprint podium at Brno in 2025 in third place.
Acosta also reached the Grand Prix podium as Marquez won the 2025 Czech GP, but Aprilia ace Marco Bezzecchi finished in P2. Marquez held a 1.753s lead over Bezzecchi across the finish line, while Acosta took the chequered flag 3.366s shy of his fellow Spaniard last year.
