As Pedro Acosta tries to get through his final season with KTM ahead of his move to Ducati, he could bid farewell to one of his biggest issues with the team.

Marc Marquez seemingly confirmed Acosta’s Ducati move after their intense duel during the Hungarian Sprint yesterday.

And while Acosta learned a lot about Marquez during their battle, he will learn even more from him as his teammate on Ducati next year.

Does Marc Marquez already think Pedro Acosta will challenge him at Ducati in 2027? 👀

But until that time comes, Acosta has to see out the rest of the season with KTM, where he has struggled this season behind some of the other top riders.

A lot of Pedro Acosta’s struggles this season have come down to KTM’s issues with consistency, something he won’t have to worry about with Ducati.

Pedro Acosta explains how his issues with KTM have cost him this season

Speaking to DAZN (via Mundo Deportivo) after the Hungarian Sprint, Pedro Acosta explained how difficult it is for him to perform during a race weekend with KTM’s inconsistency.

The bike does not replicate the same level of performance across the weekend, which makes things very difficult for him to try and get the most out of the bike.

“Hopefully, the day will come when I can go out twice, and the bike will feel the same. It’s true that we’re having a good season, doing what I was lacking last season.

“We’ve achieved that consistency, consistently being in the top five and with few DNFs, only the one in Barcelona with Ogura in the long race. I’ve matured a lot as a rider from the past to the present.

“It’s very difficult to understand why we were doing so well yesterday and today, going out on the same bike, everything seemed different, and why the feeling in qualifying is so different.

“In the race, I end up going fast, but I spend three or four laps figuring out where the bike’s limits are and seeing where I can push. We need to make a more stable bike so we can focus on riding.”

Pedro Acosta will find Ducati transition a lot easier after KTM issues

Last week at Mugello, Acosta complained about the KTM bike costing him and the other riders points, showing a level of frustration that has become all too familiar this season.

And with Marquez overtaking Acosta with ease at Mugello despite the latter returning after some serious injuries sustained earlier this season.

With such a frustrating campaign this year, Acosta will be thrilled to see the level of consistency Ducati are known for when he joins them next year.

Of course, he will face challenges with Ducati next season, but the one major concern about consistency will not be one of them.
